Chapter 1 ~ 12 miles? (REWORKED)

"I'm gonna puke... so much..."

"Oh come on, Natsu. It's only a little further. Don't be such a baby."

"Shut up! You don't know it feels! How much I suffer!"

"Oh my Mavis, be quiet!"

"He's too far gone Lucy. He's reached the stage of war-torn caricature. Now is the time we leave him to wallow in his own self pity."

Natsu, Lucy and Happy, three of Fairy Tail's finest impeccables, were currently bickering over the likelihood of the dreadfully travel-sick fire wizard bringing his meat-feast breakfast back up. They were on a train outbound from Magnolia, headed towards a village far to the West.

Natsu and Happy had crashed through Lucy's window at just-gone six in the morning to announce with childlike glee that they'd found a high paying job. After whacking them both round the head and providing a lecture on how one enters another person's home politely, Lucy looked to the creased parchment and discovered just how right they were.
500,000 Ishgarian jewels ripe for the picking, with the only requirements being finding a misplaced sceptre. Anger forgotten, the celestial wizard quickly became as elevated as her other two companions.

"Heavens, if we do this job, I wont have to worry about rent for months!" Lucy cried, bouncing around the room.

Natsu beamed, "not only that, we wont have to worry about food money 'till we're old and wrinkly," was his response as he grabbed Lucy's shoulders, bounding around her quaint little apartment with her.

"I wouldn't go quite that far but fish!" Happy squealed, joining in to the little circle Natsu and Lucy had unintentionally made with a flutter of his wings.

Not 15 minutes later, they were running to the guild to tell Mira to sign them up.

"Oh! The job commissioned by that old wizard! That one came in just last night, you sure snatched it up fast, Natsu."

"Course I did! Gotta be fast with these things in today's economy," he replied, intentionally loudly with a hint of complacency so that both Gray and Gajeel could hear that he got to the new high-paying job first. He earned himself evil stares from the ice wizard and iron dragon slayer which he took with pride.

"The wizard lives in the house furthest up the hill in a little town to the west called Aster. It shouldn't take you more than four hours to get there if you leave on the earliest train, I hope it all goes well!"

"Thanks Mira, we'll see you all soon!" Lucy called back, and with a little wave from the three of them, they said their goodbyes and set off for Magnolia train station.

"Happy, grab the vomit bag, quick! QUICK!"

They only had one hour left of their journey and Lucy had been sure that Natsu would be able to hold out that long. Unfortunately, she'd underestimated how much bouncing around there'd be on this particular trip.

"Here!"

Happy thrusted their little travel puke bag into Lucy's hands that she always had stored away in her backpack after getting tied of having Natsu's bodily fluids on her. Right before the first wave hit him, she managed to get it under his mouth. She thanked the stars for the empty carriage. This was not a nice sight to see so early in the morning.

The carriage itself was very nice for how cheap they'd got the tickets. The seats were upholstered with a lovely shade of green and the wood that covered the walls and floor of the inside was a deep duffield timber, resembling a lush forest. After a particularly dismal scene that lasted about two minutes, Natsu finally managed to calm down a little. He sighed heavily before muttering a weak little 'sorry.'
