"Did I tell you I had a dream about you?" Why the fuck did I say that? I mentally facepalm, regretting my words immediately.
"Oh yeah?" He looks at me with that damn cocky smirk he does, but it's not just that. He seems happy, pleased if you will. There looks to be a sliver of hope in his eyes.
"Uhh, yeah." I laugh lightly and look away. "It wasn't really anything though." Dream is too cocky as it is. He knows he's hot, and he's tall, and smart. I'm not gonna be the one to further feed his ego. Not right now at least.
He looks at me expectantly and pushes for me to continue with his hand. When I purposely don't say anything, he says, "Well are you gonna tell me what it was about or be an idiot and keep me wondering?"
"Mmm, let me think. No. I don't think I'll tell you." I said, intentionally sounding bratty. We both laugh and the blond sitting across from me doesn't seem too bothered. I doubt he expected me to tell him anyways.
"Well, are you almost ready to go, it's almost 9?" Wow, we'd been here for nearly three hours.
"Uhh, yeah. So are we going back to the office? I only have a bit more coding to write and I think I'll be able to work much quicker now. If I get it done tonight, we can have Sapnap come sometime tomorrow and run the bot with the new program to test it." I'm not that tired since I woke up pretty late and I haven't gone to sleep at a decent time in at least a month.
"Up to you Georgie. I can stay up a few more hours if you wanna finish your program." He didn't seem that tired, so I don't feel bad asking him to stay at the office a little longer. "Excuse me, Marie," Dream raised hand to draw attention to himself, "Can I get the bill?"
"Of course, I'll be right back with that." She flashes her politest smile, but it's obvious she is happy to see us leave because of how long we've been here."
I begin to get my credit card out of the sleeve on the back of my phone case. "Here's my card, Dream. Just give her both." I hand him the card, but he pushes it away.
"What? No, I already said I was paying." He looks at me like it's obvious, which it is, but..
"I never agreed, I only didn't respond. So, here's my card." I say very matter-of-factly. The American only laughs.
"If you think I'm gonna give her two cards and tell her to split the check, you're an idiot. I'm paying George, so don't bother arguing." I just roll my eyes, knowing he's not gonna take my card and he'll probably tell Marie not to either.
It stopped raining hours ago. As we were driving here to get dinner in fact, but the clouds look to be bringing on a second wave much stronger then the first one. Earlier it was only average rain. It wasn't necessarily heavy, but it wasn't light either.
Sighing, I pull out my phone to check the weather as we are walking through the parking lot headed towards Dreams sleek back Mustang. No use in guessing, I might as well know whether or not I'm going to sleep tonight. "Ugh, there's supposed to be thunderstorms from ten until four. We should probably hurry back to the building so we don't get caught in the middle of it."
"It's no big deal. You want to run by your apartment before going to mine to get your stuff anyways, right?"
"Honestly it depends on how bad the storm is. That's also pretty out of the way, Dream and we most likely won't leave until midnight at the earliest. I might just do the same thing as last night." We reach the car and I'm given the liberty of opening my own door this time.
"You know I don't mind running you to your apartment, but I love seeing you in my clothes, so maybe I shouldn't grant you the choice of getting your own stuff." He just smirks at me as we get into the car and just our doors.
"Oh my god, shut up." I can't help, but laugh though as I feel the heat rushing to my cheeks. I don't have to look at him to know he's smirking in satisfaction from the flustered tone of my voice, but I do and I was right.

"That's it!" I shout estatically, turning around in my chair to yell out the door of my office. "Dream, I'm fucking done. Let's fucking go! Everything has been check and everything is right." Well as far as I know. We still have to check it with the robot's mechanics, but it should be good. Usually there is a problem or two, but they are easy fixes.
"Thank fuck." He walked into the room with a lazy smile of releif washing over his face. "I'll text Sapnap tomorrow. I'm exhausted, so I know you are. Let's go, I already got your stuff." It's nearly one, so Nick is either partying and most likely drunk and doing god knows what, or asleep and he's not gonna wake up from a notification.
"Yeah, I am pretty tired. I'll drive if you want me to though. We don't have to go by my apartment, that's like an extra 30 mintues before we get home- I mean your house." Here we go. One minor slip up and he's never going to let me live it down.
"Home is it Georgie?" He walks a little closer to me as I'm getting up.
"Don't even start it" I giggle, pushing him out of the way and walking past him before he does something stupid.
"Oh, come on George." He says while running forward to catch up to me. "I can make it our home." He wiggles his eyebrows while walking infront of me backwords so he's facing me.
"Shut up. I didn't even mean to say that." I just roll my eyes and push his left shoulder, spinning him around so that he's facing forward. The blond just laughs and continues walking.
