"Your dress has blood stains on it" Reece said as we walked through my bedroom door. "I just killed a man and you're worried about my dress?" I said with a slight laugh hidden in my reply. "What? It was a pretty dress" he said shrugging and smiling. "It's fine, wasn't gonna wear it again anyways" I said walking to my wardrobe to change into comfy clothes.

I unzipped the dress, stepped out of it and changed into a grey hoodie and black shorts. I threw my hair into a loose bun and walked out into my bedroom. Reece was sitting against the headboard, scrolling on his phone. He also got changed into a black tracksuit. I crawled onto the bed and sat next to him, crossing my legs. "Are you okay? Heard anything from your Mother?" I asked him, searching his face for a clue to what he's feeling. "No and no" he said, not looking up from his phone.  I adjusted myself so he could rest his head in my lap and as he put his head down I said "I knew I should've let you kill the sod." He gave a small smile and closed his eyes.

Once I knew he was asleep, I slid out from under him and walked over to the door. I walked down the stairs and into the kitchen to grab a bottle of water. I hopped up onto the counter and drank my water. "Get off there, you know better than that" came a slurred voice from the balcony. I looked up to see my drunk father walking towards the stairs to come down. I slid off the counter and waited for him to walk into the kitchen.

"I know I don't tell you very often, if at all" he said slowly, "but I am proud of you Keira... especially after how you handled today." I was extremely stunned by his words, even though he is completely intoxicated and definitely didn't know what he was saying. I don't think he's ever told me he was proud of me, hell, he never fucking talks to me unless I've done something wrong. I stared at him, still not speaking. "Why are you up so late?" I finally said, changing the subject. "Needed some water" he mumbled. I rolled my eyes and went back up stairs. I returned to my bed where Reece was still flat out, I grabbed a pillow and a blanket from my wardrobe and set up a makeshift bed on the floor for the night.

The next morning, I woke up to being lifted into the bed. I opened my eyes to see Reece gently placing me on the bed. "Shit, sorry I woke you, you should've woke me instead of sleeping on the floor Kie" he said, feeling guilty. "That's what you get for choosing me as your best friend, i'm just that kind" I said framing my face with my hands and smiling. He laughed and began walking out of my room. "Seriously though, thanks for last night" he said accompanied by a small smile as he walked out of the door.

Once Reece left my room, I lit a candle, turned my room light off and lamp on, I picked up my book and began to read. I like to read for at least 2 hours a day, my form of therapy after the shit I deal with on a daily basis.

33 chapters later, I rest my book on my night stand and blow out the candle. I walk out my room and back down the stairs to see my Mother and Father arguing. When they see me my Father says "She'll agree with me, don't you think it'll be better if the Scott family moved in with us?" I stopped dead in my tracks, staring, speechless. "I'm sorry, what did you just say?" I said, making sure I heard him correctly. "The Scott family? They should move in, right?" I look between him and my Mother and shake my head frantically "no mm-mm, definitely not" I replied. Father rolled his eyes and commented "We have such a big house and only 4 people fucking living in it." I looked at my Mother and uttered "please say you don't agree with him" she shook her head slightly "I think this family is fine as it is, we don't need theirs to invade our privacy." I nodded desperately "yes, exactly, I agree with Mother" I looked at Father, expecting a reply. Instead he stormed off and slammed the door to his office. I don't get why he's so angry about us not wanting them to move in, they only joined forces less than 24 hours ago.

Later on, all of us were sitting in the living room after Father called us in. "Right, I know both you and your Mother said that this was a bad idea" he said motioning towards me, "but i really do believe that it is in our best interests to allow the Scott's to move in with us." After hearing those words come out of his mouth I put my head in my hands and shook my head. "The decision is finalised and they will be fully moved in within the week" he said. Mother, without saying a word, got up and walked into the kitchen. My Father followed after her, leaving me and Reece in the living room.

"I don't fucking believe this" I told him. "I mean, what the fuck is he thinking?" I look up at Reece to find him just staring at me. "I don't know, maybe it could be fun, you know with Kyle, Jack, Tyler and Holly moving in?" I just looked at him in confusion. I sighed and walked straight to my room. I locked the door behind me making sure nobody will be entering for the time being. I belly flopped onto my bed and, quite literally, screamed into a pillow. Fuck. This. Shit.
