DEVYN JONES LIKED TO THINK HER FUTURE WAS BRIGHT. Liked, past tense. Her mother's dissapearance changed that part of her life. No, not just changed. Her disappearance forced the rest of the Jones 'family' to move away for almost 3 years.
At least that's what Eric Jones had said, when he convinced his grieving daughter to pack her bags. She felt like she didnt have much of a choice at the time, so she did what she had to do and left behind her life's work; her friends.
2 years and some change later, she finds herself back in OBX, coming face to face with the boy who had haunted her dreams every other night since she had left.
JJ MAYBANK LIKED TO THINK ABOUT THE PAST. As he remembered the happy memories before, he thought that if he recreated them, he would be happy. But, JJ didn't have a lot of happy memories. Very little things made JJ happy, hence why he had few happy memories. But, JJ also knew what made him happy. Devyn Jones.
So, of course, when Devyn left, he was devastated. And, when she left, he wasn't happy. The pogues tried as best as they could to cheer him up. When they did, he was never as happy as he was when Devyn was with them.
