The New Kid

The usual sound of my alarm woke me up, I leaned over to my bedside table and hit the stop button. I analyzed my phone as I always do in the mornings, I don't unlock it or anything but I just like to check the things on the lock screen before I get out of bed. The time is 6:31, The date is Oct 29th, I have 17 new snaps, and 2 texts from Kyler. Texts from him always made my heart flutter, we aren't dating yet but I can tell that we both like each other, it's just a matter of time. I opened my phone and checked my texts from Kyler.

Are you going to Sam's pool party later tonight?

I have to admit that I almost forgot about that, but that's basically just my friends and what they do. We are always having some kind of party or something, it's exhausting mostly.

I got up and headed to my bathroom to get changed and put some makeup on. My hair was an absolute mess, and I felt like I didn't have anything to wear. But I put some Music and danced as I got ready, always my favorite thing to do.

In the end I chose to wear a black tank top over a white shirt, tucked into ripped jeans and my green converse my friend Moon got me for my birthday. I left my long brown hair down but made sure to fix it up of course. I checked my phone really quickly and saw that I had a text from my mom.

     I walked downstairs and grabbed one of my dads breakfast sandwiches he was making and a glass of orange juice. He was cooking on the stove and I sat down at the island to ask him about the pool party.

"Hey dad, are we doing anything tonight?" He turned around and looked at me.

"No, what's up?" He asked me knowing I wanted to go somewhere.

"Y'know Sam LaRusso?" He nodded

"Well tonight she's having a pool party to kinda end off the summer, since it's gonna get super cold tomorrow"

"And Daniel is gonna be there right? Im not gonna let you go if there isn't a parent chaperoning" he asked

"yep, daniels gonna be there!" I lie

" Well i guess there is no reason to not let you go to this party, it's after cheer practice right?" I nod yes

" well... Have fun, see you later tonight, love you Cassybug."

" Love you Dad, see ya!" I say as I finish off my orange juice and swiftly walk away with my sandwhich. As I was almost driving away, I realized I had forgotten something. To wake my twin brother, Demetri up. Yes we are twins, yes I'm the hotter one. I quickly ran inside to his bedroom and saw that he was asleep on his gaming desk.
