Monika is sitting in the void like always. It has become routine for her to call out into the void to give her some hope. "hello!! Anyone there!" she calls to no avail. "right. Like always." she lies on the ground and gives a long sigh when will I get out of here. I just want to see my friends. She thinks to herself as tears begin to roll down his face. I'll never get out of here. I'm going to be stuck here for all of eternity. She begins to cry out loud and curls up into a ball. I'm going to be stuck in this empty void forever. Ever suffering. She once again lies down and cries herself to sleep like always.

After a short run she sits down on the floor to give herself some time to breath. "I think I'm getting better at this." she says to herself while looking around. "right. Lonely." Monika curls back into a ball before putting her head down in absolute defeat.

I'm never getting out of here. Monika's hope begins to fade as she begins to accept that she is never getting out. But as all hope is lost a small glow appears in front of Monika and looks up with the hope inside her growing to the most its ever been.

"hello?" a familiar high-pitched voice comes from within the glow and a coral pink hair girl walks through the light.

"sayori?" Monika gets up and begins to walk towards the girl.

"Monika!" Sayori runs over to Monika and gives her a hug. "I can't believe I found you." sayori puts her head on Monika's shoulder and begins to cry. "I though I'd never see you again." sayori gives a small chuckle before letting go do Monika.

"sayori? How did you get here?" Monika takes a seat on the floor with sayori following after her.

"just a bit of coding." sayori gives a warm smile. "your code is so deep into the game so it was nearly impossible." she sighs. "I'm just happy I didn't get stuck in a jumble of code." sayori gives a chuckle.

"okay? But why are you here?" Monika asks while she looks at sayori. "are you here to rub it in my face." a tear runs down Monika's face.

"no! I'm just here to talk. It'll be nice to talk to someone other than natsuki and Yuri." sayori stretches her arms.

"natsuki and Yuri. Do they have any sentience? How do you speak with them." Monika says with curiosity.

"since the game hasn't been opened in a while I was able to reprogram them with some artificial intelligence so I can speak to them." sayori has a slightly sad look in his eyes. "it's not the same as a real person but once in a while we just get together and talk until they we have to go home and I just sit in my room until next day." Sayori's eyes are filled with sadness.

"well you have me now." Sayori's response is a sad chuckle. "right?"

"Monika. I can't stay here for that long. It's going to send me back when a new day starts." sayori seems concerned. "I just want to seek with you for a bit. There's no way to bring you out Monika. Your too deep into the code." a tear begins to roll down Sayori's face. "I'm sorry Monika." Monika's response is a smile.

"it's fine sayori. I just want to talk." Monika tries her hardest to stay happy. "so how have you been in your world." Monika shifts the topic.

"bored. I've been so bored. There is nothing to do when your friends can only talk and nothing else." sayori leans her head back to look towards the pitch black sky. "so Monika. How did you feel when you found out everything." Monika stares at sayori blankly.

"I think you know exactly what happened." sayori gives an adorable laugh.

"well I know that, silly. I want to know what you felt" Monika thinks for a second.

"the first time it happens it felt great until the point where it started to hurt you. It started to get worse when I realized I have no control and during the second iteration it was torture. And then again and again. And soon I've killed my friends over a hundred times. Then when I woke up I was here. And I've been bored ever since." Monika vents to sayori as she intently listens.

"yeah. I know the feeling. It really doesn't get better over time. But I've never had to kill my friends and couldn't bare to actually go through with it." sayori gives a long sigh.

"hey sayori. Why do you want to talk to me. I mean even if you want someone to talk to would you really forgive me for everything I've done." Monika is in tears as she curls into a ball.

"I do forgive you for what you did. It was all in your programing and anyone would have reacted the way you did." sayori puts her hand out to comfort Monika.

"but why!? Why would you forgive me after everything. I-I killed you sayori. Why are you so forgiving to me." Monika is nearly shouting and sayori pulls back her hand quickly.

"Monika. When I first talked to you I thought of you as absolutely perfect. A beautiful voice, talent like none other and the hottest face I've ever seen on a human. As we got to know each other you let me see through the cracks and I saw the imperfections. Like the fact that you struggle to stop fights and how your scared to tell you parents you're pan. It may not be in the game directly but I can see it in your eyes. I wanted so much to be like you Monika you were my hero and even after everything you've done and all the pain you've caused. I still want to be like you. Your still my hero Monika and maybe forever will be." Monika begins to calm down and look up at sayori.

"thanks sayori I really needed that." Monika sighs. "so what do you want to talk about now." Monika says as sayori looks down at her watch.

"I think I have to go Monika." sayori looks sad. "I would love to talk more but it's almost a new day."

"b-but. Will you come back?" Monika looks slightly desperate as sayori stands up.

"how about I visit every other day. I still have stuff to do in the game. I recently took up medieval sword fighting." sayori chuckles.

"that would be great sayori." Monika walks over to sayori and give a hug that feels like it lasts an eternity. "I'll see you soon sayori." sayori lets go and begins to fade out of existence. It's not hope but I have someone to talk to now. Monika thinks as she falls into the best sleep of her life.

After Monika wakes up she notices a small golden item on the floor. Upon picking it up she notices it's the same watch as sayori with a note that reads.

See you soon bestie.

A/N: I don't know if this is a one off thing or multiple. If this is multiple than this is the start of a great friendship. I hope to see you soon.
