Tachibana Makoto [Free!]

You were a normal student at Iwatobi High. You usually volunteer on helping the people at the cafeteria since there are only few people working there.

You were a second year at class 1 where your classmate since grade school were there, Haru and Makoto. Makoto was your crush since then, making you enter all school he entered to.

"Hi, [Name]-senpai" a kouhai said as you recognised that it was Matsuoka Gou. "Gou-chan? What is it?" You asked her and she smiled at you and handed some money.

"The nearest vending machine was not functioning, can I get this refreshments? And please bring it to the swimming pool area" she requested, pointing the refreshment as you nod.

"Sure, what time?" You asked as she informed you some details about it. After some time, you took the refreshment and went where they were.

"Excuse me" you said and was greeted by Makoto. "[Name]-chan? Is there something you need?" Makoto asked as he smiled. You bowed and scratch your chin lightly

"Gou-chan asked me to bring this refreshment for the club. And since she didn't asked for snacks I bought some" You answered.

"Arigato, [Name]-senpai" Gou said as you smiled. "Then, I'll be leaving─"

"Senpai! Can you deliver this again tomorrow? We'll pay here" Gou added as you nod. "Of course, see you guys"

Since that day, it continued and continued. It became a routine for you and the swimming club. You also watch their practice sometimes even at their joint training.

One day, you were listening to the teacher's lecture when you noticed that Makoto was staring at you. You mouthed a 'what' and he just shook his head.

You looked over the window and saw that it was raining, the broadcast didn't even blurted any single word of raining.

You remembered that you're not in duty at the cafeteria and don't have any umbrella since the broadcast said it's gonna be sunny since its summer.

You sighed and listened again as the final bell kicked in, making the class ends. You then went down the hallway as you stared at the sky for a moment.

You were about to run when someone put a jacket above your head. You looked up and saw Makoto beside you holding an umbrella.

"M-makkun?" you asked as he looked down on you and smiled. "We don't want anyone to get sick don't we?" He said as you smiled and held the jacket closer.

"Thank you" you said as the both of you walked off. "I am surprised Haru-kun weren't with you" You said as he slightly frown but smiled immediately.

"Haru already went home" he answered. "Ah? Since your practice were cancelled" you added and he hummed.

"Let's stop by, I want some refreshment" You said and both of you giggled. "Sure" he just answered as both of you entered a convenience store.

You completely wore Makoto's jersey and went to get [favourite drinks]. Both of you then sat in an empty shed. "Nee, [Name]-chan" Makoto called as you hummed and looked at him.

"Do you like someone?" He asked as you choked in your drink making him panic. You signed that your fine making him sigh in relief.

"I do" you answered as he sadly smiled. "How about you, Makkun?"

"I do like someone. But it looked like that she's interested with someone at the swimming club. She often talked about them and really don't asked anything about me"

"Ouch, that hurts. Well, for me. I think I'm unnoticeable. Because I like someone who liked another girl and that girl liked another man. How unfortunate" You said and smiled.

"Do I know the lucky guy?"

"Yes"

"Well, do I know the lucky girl?"

"Yes"

"Can I asked who he is?"

"Of course, he is Tachibana Makoto" You answered without thinking.

"D-did I just said that?" you asked as you cupped your own face and then hid to the jacket Makoto lend to you.

He suddenly put his hand around your shoulder making you lean in him as you looked at him blushing. "C-c-can I ask who she is?" you said as he smiled. "Her name is [Last Name] [Name]" he said as you blushed madly.

You them lean on him completely and hugged him as the rain ceases. "Oh, the rain stopped" he said as he held your hand.

"Whaa ..." you said and looked at the setting sun. "I love you [Name]" he stated as you looked at him amd smiled. "I love Makkun too"

The both of you went home and bid for a meanwhile.

Morning~

"Excuse me!" you said gaining the other's attention. "Whaa~ its [Name]-chan" Nagisa said as you smiled. "Eh? [Name]-senpai? I didn't request some refreshments" Gou said as you smiled.

"Mm ... Its a gift for everyone's hardwork since you guy's been working so hard for the upcoming match" you said and handed her the refresment.

"Then─" you were cut off when Makoto hugged you and kissed your forehead. "M-makkun?" you asked and blushed.

"I'll walk you home later" he said as you hummed. "I'll wait for you later then" you said as he pat you.

"You two ...?" Gou asked while you and Makoto looked at each other.

"Were dating, just confessed yesterday" he said as Gou squealed as the others congratulated the both of you.
