Gaby McKinnon ~~~ The beginning W/W

Chapter 3

Time skip

"Hurry everyone we need to catch the train" mr Weasley called. " 9 3/4 straight ahead. Gaby stay with me I'll show you how it's done."

I started running straight through to the wall just as Ginny had told me to before I could stop myself the cart, Mr Weasley and I went through the wall magically. "Hurry if we want to get separate cabins" Fred yelled. I ran to the train trying to get a spot for me on the train with someone who seamed nice. Finally I spotted Hermione with Ginny and a boy I didn't know.

After a while of talking I learned that Hermione and the boy named Neville were second years in gryfindor it had been an hour or two when I heard screaming coming from outside the window. I looked out and everyone followed where I was looking. The blue ford Angela with Ron and Harry inside was flying in circles around the train. Slowly the car turned and Harry's door flew open him falling out. He caught him self on the door and I screamed for everyone to look. Everyone watched with horror as Harry tried to grab Rons hand. After a few seconds Ron was finally able to grab Ron hand and pull him back up into the car. The car staying at a steady pace till the train stoped.

When we finally got to hogwarts we hoped out of the train and walked to the carriages they were fully black carriages withblack honey horses pulling them. I was to scared to mention the pony's so I talked to Hermione about which classes we have to take.

Once we were at the front door a tall teacher in green robes and a pointy hat stood on the stairs to the entrance telling all first years to follow her. "I am looking for a Gaby McKinnon to follow me as well." She said. I looked at Hermione but she just told me to go and not get on her bad side while she followed the rest of the students.

I followed the teacher as she brought us through the school and talked about all the teachers. She was professor McGonagall who taught transfiguration.

Finally we made it to the great hall she called it. "All students wait here to be sorted when you hear a knock on the door walk in and stand at the front" the professor said. Everyone nodded there head in agreement.

Knock knock

We all walked in once we heard it. I walked in the back not wanting to be seen by anyone especially since I was a year older then all these people. The hall was filled with people and floating candles. The roof had a moving picture of a sunset. A man with a long silver beard stood up, everyone went quiet. "Hello students, we will start the sorting ceremony soon. I just wanted to congratulate our new defence against the dark arts teacher Mr Gilderoy Lockhart. And with that let the ceremony begin." Professor Mcgonagall stood at the front calling people my their last name. The students would sit on a stool and a hat would be placed on their head. The hat would yell out one of the four houses (gryfindor, slytherin, ravenclaw, and hufflepuff).

Halfway through the ceremony one of the older ravenclaw students told everyone to look out the window. There it was the blue car flying straight for a tree. A teacher with black greasy hair stood up and ran out the great hall. The room went silent again and the professor continues to say names until only i was left. "Now this year we have an exchange student going in to their second year. Gaby McKinnon!" The professor said. I walked to the stool and waited for the hat to sit on my head.

"Hmmm. You are kind and loyal brave and cunning" the hat seemed to be saying. "What house to put you in I don't know". Loudly for the whole hall to hear the hat yelled.

"GRYFINDOR "

Everyone began to clap the gryfindor table.     

The out of nowhere.

"HUFFLEPUFF"

"SILENCE" the silver haired man yelled. I was so embarrassed, how did I not have a house. "Miss McKinnon this has not happened in years but not to fret. When someone simply has two house they are aloud to travel from the houses, although you must pick one to stay with for classes." He continued. "Please take a seat wherever you would like and we will continue dinner as such.

I walked over to the gryfindor table as all the weasleys were in that house. I sat in between Ginny and Harry and stayed silent all dinner. Everyone was staring at me or asking questions so as soon as I finished I asked Harry to take me to the common room. He noticed how tense I was and brought me there right away.

After thirty minutes of sitting at the window I talked to Harry. Everyone else was still at dinner so it was just us in the gryfindor room. "Harry you know our parents were best friends. My mother was Marlene McKinnon she went to school with your parents." I said. "Really?" he asked. "Yeah unfortunately my mom never told me who my dad was and she was killed when I was a baby by Voldemort so..." I said.

After about another thirty minutes Ron and Hermione arrived with a bunch of other students. The group of four decided to sit with the rest of the Weasleys then head off to bed.

"You told them you didn't know who I am" a male voice said in my head. "But you will learn soon enough". This should have scared me but for some reason I felt like I could trust the voice. It wasn't the first time I heard it either this voice would warn me not to do something that most of the time would keep me alive.
