Y/n's Pov

The asshole was in my room again, but this time they spoke to me in full sentences.

They confessed to several murders.

I wish I was properly awake to remember the names of the people he said he'd killed. Well, he and his partner. He told me that he hadn't done it alone, but with his friend of many years.

Of course I went to the police, asking if they had any unsolved murder cases. They told me not to worry about it and that I should go home. Reluctantly I did. Before I went home though, I bought a new lock for my window.

I can't risk them sneaking in again and doing... something.

Omniscient Pov

Ever since Haru had taken up the case he had come out cold without a single clue to point him in the right direction.

That was until a girl walked into the station that morning.

She complained that someone was in her room that night. Haru, under all the stress, was going to send her away. It wasn't the best course of action, he admits that, but he was really piling on the pressure with solving a murder and finding two teens.

That was until she said something that piqued his interest. This mystery person had confessed to not one, but several murders that just so happened to occur around the same time that the murders and disappearances did.

Suddenly Haru was so interested in this person sneaking into her room. Unfortunately for him, she didn't know who it was and had no clue.

"Ah, that's okay. Here's my card, call me if you remember anything, yeah? Get home safe." When she left his mood had deflated.

"If only she remembered..." he muttered to himself, walking over to his desk and placing his hands on it, his head hanging. Daisuke wasn't in the office this morning, so he was flying solo for the case until he got back. Of course he's not here the day he needs him most.

Pulling out a pen and paper, he started writing things down, hoping that sooner or later he would be able to connect the dots.
