"Are you sure this dress isn't, you know, too much? Are you sure Anne won't think I look bad with makeup?" Marcy asked, worry evident in her voice. Sasha rolled her eyes and nodded.

"Marky, sweetie, platonic girlfriend, You look brilliant. Anne will absolutely love the dress and your makeup." Sasha replied. Marcy looked back at herself in the mirror. She looked so... different. Her dress was lilac with flowers sewn into the hem, her hair was done up in a messy bun, with a bit of hair hanging down on the side, and her makeup was simple but noticeable.

"Wow Sasha, thank you so much! Are you sure you don't wanna go to the dance with Anne and me?" Marcy asked. Sasha shook her head and stared at her phone screen.

"No one seems to wanna sate a trans girl, so since I don't have a date, I'm not going. Besides, it's your and Anne's night, go have fun!" Sasha smiled as she put her phone down and stood up off Marcy's bed. Marcy smiled and embraced her friend.

"Thanks, Sasha, and don't worry! I'm sure someone will ask you out!" Marcy smiled and replied. Sasha shrugged. She looked over at her alarm clock, noticing how late it was.

"Oh crap Marcy, it's almost six! Anne's gonna be here soon!" Sasha panicked. Marcy looked at the clock and gave Sasha a panicked look.

"Sasha I feel like I'm gonna throw up! I'm too nervous for this!" Marcy muttered as she sat down on her bed. Sasha sighed and put her hands on Marcy's shoulders.

"Marcy, you'll be fine. Stop worrying so much, okay?" Sasha encouraged her friend. Marcy nodded in response. The doorbell rang.

"Welp, that's definitely Anne." Sasha laughed. Marcy nervously smiled at Sasha, who gave her two thumbs up. Marcy took a deep breath before heading out of her room to answer the door. She smiled one she saw Anne.

"Wow, Marcy, you look beautiful!" Anne smiled when she saw Marcy. Marcy blushed at the compliment and shyly hid her face in her hands. Anne handed something to Marcy. It was a small box, with a corsage inside. It had a rose and carnations on it. Marcy smiled brightly.

"Thank you, Anne! It's beautiful!" She commented as Anne helped her put it on. Anne smiled at Marcy after she finished putting the corsage on her arm.

"Well, shall we get to the dance?" Anne asked, holding out her arm. Marcy smiled and nodded.

Anne grabbed Marcy's hand as they headed inside the school. The theme for this year's prom was A Midsummer's Night Dream. Flower decorations covered the walls and ceilings. They matched Marcy's dress well.

"Soo, what shall we do now? We can dance, or get something to eat, or just hang out together." Anne suggested. Marcy looked around at everything there.

"Let's get something to eat first, I'm starving!" She commented before darting off to the buffet. Anne smiled and followed her girlfriend, who was currently shoving food onto a plate. She turned around and help out the plate to Anne.

"You should try these cupcakes, they're amazing!" Marcy yelled as she handed a cupcake to Anne. Anne took a bite, instantly falling in love with it.

"I need like, three hundred more of these." Anne deadpanned before grabbing more. Marcy laughed and pulled Anne away before she could steal the entire tray, causing Anne to pout.

"Don't worry, you can have my other cupcake once you've finished your three hundred others," Marcy giggled. Anne nodded and continued to stuff her face with cupcakes.

"At least sit down before you eat them all!" Marcy joked as she lead Anne to a table. Anne sat down next to her girlfriend and continued to greedily eat her food. Marcy laughed and started to eat all of the food on her plate too. It was actually surprisingly good food for a school dance.

"Who made these cupcakes? I need more." Anne said as she finished her last cupcake. Marcy laughed and handed Anne her cupcake. Anne happily accepted it, giving Marcy a kiss on the cheek as thanks. Marcy blushed and hit her face in her hands again, causing Anne to laugh.

"Oh hey, Marcy, there's a slow song on! Let's go dance!" Anne suggested as she stood up. She grabbed Marcy's hand and led her to the dance floor.

"W-Wait, Anne! I-I'm not a good dancer!" Marcy yelled as Anne dragged her onto the dance floor. Anne grabbed Marcy's waist and started to lead her in the dance.

"That's okay! I'll help you!" Anne smiled. Marcy blushed and nodded. The two gracefully danced to the slow song, which surprised Marcy since she was a horrible dancer. Anne smiled at her girlfriend.

"See, you're getting the hang of it!" She laughed. Marcy smiled and nodded as the two continued to dance together. It was such a perfect night. Marcy leaned her head against Anne's shoulder as the song finally came to an end.

"That was amazing, Mar Mar! You're a great dancer!" Anne beamed. Marcy sighed happily and hugged Anne tightly.

"Thank you for bringing me here tonight," She thanked. Anne smiled and hugged her girlfriend back.

"I'm happy I could bring you"

Fun fact, this story was loosely based on my first homecoming dance! Except at my first dance, I broke up with my girlfriend. Anywho, I hope you enjoyed it!
