Dream woke up at around four O'clock in the afternoon and he got up to start making dinner. He was making pasta and meatballs, he had always loved cooking, he thought it was a good coping skill and a distraction from everything else. He had his phone on the counter next to him, and it was blowing up with people from twitter messaging him about Quackity's death and tagging him in tweets, and asking where he was and if he was alright.
He decided to make a tweet: Hey guys, I know lots of you have been asking what is happening, I can't tell you much but I need you to know that yes, indeed, Quackity is sadly passed, he isn't the only one either, Karl is now gone as well. I can't tell you what happened to them, and how they died, but I can tell you that they aren't coming back. This is very unfortunate, and we are trying all we can to figure something out. Currently me, Sapnap and George, are having some problems. We aren't quite sure what we are going to do about this yet, but I would like to tell you that George is in Florida. This may be my last ever tweet, I don't know that George will ever tweet or post again, I can't say the same for Sapnap, because I'm not quite sure what is happening with him atm. We are trying to figure out what is happening, but if either George, or myself don't tweet tomorrow after 7:00pm EST, we aren't ever coming back. Thank you for your patience, Goodbye, I love you all<3 Sapnap didn't ever say he could do this, but he needed to, he couldn't let all of his fans dow too.
'Tweet posted' That might be the last time he ever sees those words again. Nonetheless, he carried on with his cooking and tried not to focus on the outside world, he didn't want to stay trapped inside himself and let the feelings overwhelm him, but he didn't really have a choice, he had no one to talk to that would understand exactly how he felt about this. He couldn't lose George, he just couldn't. George was the other half of him, if he lost him, it would be like losing your heart; fatal. But it seemed he didn't have a choice.
George woke up when Dream was about halfway done making dinner, so around five O'clock. George could smell the meatballs cooking, and for a minute, forgot why all of the blinds were closed. He quickly came back to reality and realized what kind of situation they were in. He wished he could go back to sleep and make it all disappear, he wanted it all to be normal again. He limped into the kitchen and sat on one of the bar stools facing Dream who was faced away from him, tending to the meatballs on the stove. "Dream?" Dream was startled by this and turned around. "Oh, you're up, what's wrong, I can tell by your face something's up." "It's just-" tears started rolling down George's cheeks. He buried his face into his arms as they rested on the counter. He sobs quietly and Dream walks around the counter over to him, "What is it my love?" He puts his arm around George's back and George lifts his head up, Dream moving his long untrimmed hair out of his face.
"I just want everything to be normal again, I don't want to be thinking that someone who I thought to be one of my friends, wants to kill me and very well could kill me, or could be at the house right now or-or-.." George's speech sped up and Dream hugged him from the side, pulling George's head onto his chest. "shhhh, it's alright, because he's not gonna kill you, you're gonna be alright." Dream reassured him. "But what if he does, that's his plan, and so far everything he planned has happened, he's made sure of it. Clay, what if he does kill me?" "George! Don't think that way, that's not gonna happen, as long as I'm here you'll be okay." No, Dream was the reason george wouldn't be okay. George nodded softly and rested his head back on Dream's chest. He started falling asleep again and Dream picked him up bridal-style and put him on the couch with a blanket.
Once he finished dinner he set the bowls on the table and walked over to the couch to wake George up. Before doing so, he just looked at his face, he looked so happy, so relaxed, he was in his own little world enjoying it, completely forgetting what was happening around them. Dream knew he was being hypocritical when thinking this but he wasn't sure he would ever get to see George's peaceful resting face again, so he took it all in and gently shook him awake. "George, dinner's ready." George moaned tiredly and stretched his arms in the air. He got up and dream helped him to the table. "mmm, this is really good Clay." "Why thank you, it's my grandmother's recipe." "Well, she knew how to make some damn good meatballs." Dream chuckled softly at this, a tear ran down his face when he realized this might be their last dinner together, soon it might be just him, no, he couldn't let his mind wander like that, he just had to savor the moment while it lasted.
"Dream? What's wrong, you're crying?" Dream wiped his face off, "Oh it's nothing, hey, um do you wanna watch a movie together later?" "Sure?" George was confused by his sudden tone-change, but shrugged it off. Dream zoned out the rest of the dinner and didn't talk much. What if this was his last time seeing George? What if he would never wake up with George again. No, he would make sure he didn't lose him. He had to get in this kind of mindset for their plan to work. His and Sapnap's plan to kill George.
(sorry for the really short chapter, I couldn't think of anything else for it!)
