While Liam and Aaron were in the desert Jake's punishment continued until eventually he couldn't stand it anymore and begged for it to stop. He repented and agreed to worship again. With Aaron away, Reece had been promoted to acting top slave. Reece took Jake to kneel before the Lord and say he was sorry and ask for forgiveness and a chance to worship again
''Sadly it's not that simple'' the Lord told him ''You let me down and I'm disappointed, you were doing so well, and then you went and got rebellious''
''But Sir I've learned my lesson now I swear'' Jake wept ''I will worship you again Sir''
''Oh you'll worship alright boy'' the Lord said sternly ''You see Jake because you were rebellious you have to do ''punishment worship'' now''
''Punishment worship? What is that Sir?''
''It's an intense and uncomfortable form of worship'' the Lord explained ''basically you will be turned into a statue for 1000 years. You will be aware of everything but you will not be able to move or talk, all you will do is worship non-stop. You will stand with your arms outstretched as if you were on a crucifix. Your entire body will ache, your arms and back the most. You will be conscious the whole time and you will understand why you must do punishment worship to reflect on your bad behavior. After 1000 years of punishment worship I will let you return to normal''
And sure enough, poor Jake was turned into a statue for 1000 years. He could not move or talk, all he could do was worship in this uncomfortable and painful position
