Chapter 6 - LIAM DECIDES TO WORSHIP

After 10 years in the ocean, drowning and being eaten alive and then brought back to life over and over, Liam and Ryan were unexpectedly plucked out by the Lord

''Because I am merciful I am giving you this chance to exit level 2 punishment and enter eternal worship now instead of waiting another 90 years'' the Lord told them ''you see I could just leave you in punishment until the full 100 years is up but I prefer to give you another chance to come out of punishment early''

Liam suddenly was overcome with gratitude, he couldn't explain why as it came suddenly and unexpectedly. But he found himself suddenly feeling worshipful and grateful to the Lord for giving him a chance to escape punishment early.

He fell on his knees before the Lord

''Sir I am ready to worship you now'' he said humbly ''Thank you for giving me this chance to get out of punishment early Sir. I am grateful for your mercy''

The Lord was overcome with joy ''Finally my boy see's sense'' he beamed

''How do you know he really means it and isn't just lying to get out of punishment?' 'Ryan asked with a sneer

''Because I am the Lord and the Lord knows everything'' the Lord replied ''I know what is going on inside his head, I know that he is genuine. I also know that you are still not ready to worship me, Ryan''

''That's correct and I never will be either'' Ryan said bitterly

''So it's back into punishment for you'' the Lord told him grimly     

Ryan tried to act tough and cocky but he was terrified as he was pushed back into the ocean and plunged into the dark frozen water

''Silly boy for rejecting my offer of mercy'' the Lord said dismally ''oh well never mind, maybe next time he will be ready. Come on Liam time to take you to your new permanent home''

Liam was excited as he was taken back to the worship zone and fell on his knees with a smile on his face  

''Please sing to me'' the Lord told him

''Here I am to worship, here I am to bow down, here I am to say that you're my God'' he sang cheerfully

Later on when the Lord was taking his nap Jake whispered to Liam ''Hey man what made you change your mind?'' he asked him

''Honestly...this is the only option in the end'' Liam whispered back ''our Lord isn't going to change his mind or back down. The only option is to accept it and worship and now I actually want to do it because I finally see how powerful he is and he deserves it. I'd rather kneel and worship our Lord for eternity than be punished and make him angry. I hope Ryan comes to his senses soon, eternal worship is our future, we just have to get used to it and start being happy about it''

And Liam fell down on his face and worshipped and praised 

''Let us fall with our faces to the ground before our Lord and worship him!'' he declared and all the other boys did the same   

But deep down inside Liam was terrified of eternity with the Lord. He was surprised, if the Lord knows what he really thinks how come he doesn't realize that Liam is actually terrified? Genuine about worshipping but still terrified

A voice spoke to Liam and startled him ''he does know'' the voice said ''but being terrified is part of the experience and you have embraced it which is all the Lord wants you to do, embrace it. The Lord wants you to be terrified so that you will always remember to worship hard. You are here for HIS pleasure, not your own. Just start practicing being face down on the floor because you'll be doing a lot of it through eternity Liam''
