I made up my mind, I couldn't last another second in that house. I grabbed my phone and my AirPods "I'm leaving; I don't know when I'm coming back, but I'm leaving." I needed no reply from Ma, I just left. Just as the sun started to set I made my way downtown. Big Natty, was a 67-year-old homeless man who lived on one of the benches downtown. Whenever someone needed advice and they were in the area they wouldn't hesitate to ask Big Natty. Big Natty talked to so many people that he knows everyone's business. "Big Natty, my Ma's having a baby and Marri got locked up, I still don't have a clue why though." Big Natty knew, "Let me tell ya, kid, you're Marri there has done some horrible things you know. Ever since he was Laurin's age he's been doing drugs, you know, the illegal kinds. Fella almost died the other night, whole reason why he got arrested." Big Natty knew everything but with this, he couldn't be right. It's like he read my mind "don't doubt me, kiddo I seen the whole thing happen." Deep down I knew Big Natty would've been there he's always downtown. I wasn't going home, not after all of this. I got up and left Big Natty on his bench hoping he'd understand.
