Chapter 25

Phil's POV

Everything was in place. It was perfect. My date with Dan in the Space Needle was a go. All I had to do? Get Dan there in time. I glanced at my watch. We had a couple hours before reservations. The Space Needle was about a 30 minute drive away. We had an hour and an half, give or take. 

"Daaan?" I asked, looking up. I was sitting on his lap, and we were watching TV. He was absent-mindly playing with my hair, twisting and curling it. 

"Yeah?" He asked, looking down and meeting my glance. 

"Do you want to go to the Space Needle? Just the two of us?" I asked, hopeful. I did not want to reveal my plans for the date, but I knew that Dan could read me like a book. My eyes darted around the room, as I tried to not meet his eyes. I know that Dan knows that something is up. Dan laughed, and he went along with it. I sat up, and kissed him on the lips. He accepted it, and cupped my face with his hands. I grinned into the kiss, and jumped up. Dan groaned in protest, but I shook my head. "Nope. We have to get ready." Dan glared at me and stood up as well. 

"What should I wear?" He asked, motioning towards his t-shirt that he was currently wearing along with his sweats. I looked down at my own attire and inwardly winced. I was wearing sweats as well, and I was sure that my hair was a mess. 

"Something nice. Fancy... Ish?" I said, before racing off to the shower to clean up. I heard Dan's protests of me taking the shower, but I ignored him. 

Thirty minutes later, I was standing in front of the mirror. I was attempting to fix my hair, but I was failing. Dan came in without knocking, and I flushed red. It is not like I was naked, but all I had on was a towel. 

Dan flushed red as he walked in. He quickly adverted his eyes, and proceeded to the mirror next to me. His hair was curly and wet, telling me that he had found an open shower. He was wearing a t-shirt and sweats again, but this time his shoulders were wet. We worked in silence, him drying his hair and attempting to straighten it, and me trying to locate my hair brush without dropping my towel. 

"So... What are we doing at the Space Needle?" Dan asked me. I smiled at him. 

"Stuff..... You'll find out." I said. I was so bad at lying. Dan smirked and shook his head, sending water droplets flying. 

We quickly got dressed and got ready. Lydia had said that she would get a ride for us, but we still had a little less than an hour before it was time for us to leave. We walked over to the kitchen where Lydia and Isabel were talking. They both looked up as we walked in. 

"Hey guys!" Isabel chirped. Lydia smiled and gave a small wave, but she looked a little stressed. "We are just planning Lydia's wedding." 

"When is the big date?" I asked, grabbing a chair across from Lydia. Dan sat next to me, and grabbed my hand. 

"It is on November 23!" Isabel said cheerfully. Lydia slouched over in her seat, and put her head in her hands. She groaned loudly, and put her head on the table. Jeff walked in at that moment, and went straight to his fiancee. He started to rub her shoulders, and looked at us all. 

"It is going to be hard. My parents want a big wedding, and that is not what we really want..." Jeff said. 

"Then go to Vegas and elope!" Dan joked. Jeff nodded, smiling. 

"Yeah. That's really all I want to do." Lydia nodded in agreement to Jeff's statement. I chuckled. 

"Dan and I are going to the Space Needle today." I gave Isabel a look and she covered her smile with her hand. 

We chatted for a while about random things, until the doorbell rang. Lydia shot up like a flash, and gave me a look. 

It was time for the date.

Guys! I know this was late! I know this was a short and crappy chapter. 

I have excuses because, everyone believes them... *sarcastic tone because im in a crappy mood*

So my family stuff has just gone horribly, and my sister managed to ruin my chapter for today. I had a whole chapter idea, but then she came in and begun to yell at me for no reason... So I was pissed, and yeah.... IZ IS SORRY!!!! FORGIVE MEHHHH

So yeah. I have news for next week! No updates, for I will be on vacation!!! yayyyy! 

I will update this Saturday but that will be it until the 18th. Yeaaah. Sorry about that. 

But I am excited because I will be away from my family (except for my sister) for a while so I can just think. Yeah.
