The next two months had passed faster than Cheryl would have liked, Tabitha stayed at the redheads apartment the night before their flight so they could head to the airport together. The redhead warned Tabitha to not go too over the top with the fake girlfriend thing but with the way her best friend was smirking she knew it was falling on deaf ears.
When they finally landed in Hawaii Cheryl thought about catching the next flight back to New York as her nerves kicked in. Tabitha noticed the redhead starting to panic and tried to distract her with how much fun they were going to have.
Once Tabitha got Cheryl into the cab that was taking them to the hotel she relaxed a little knowing that she couldn't run away so easily now. The redhead was quiet as she looked out of the window, her foot was tapping as she tried to control the nerves vibrating through her body.
'Cheryl, you need to calm down' Tabitha said as she reached for her friends hand 'everything's going to be fine, trust me okay?'.
'I'm just nervous about seeing her again, like how do I keep myself calm in her presence when I can't even keep calm now' Cheryl sighed 'this is a mistake'.
'Cheryl Blossom you listen to me, you're a bad bitch and you've got this, let me hear you say it' Tabitha tried to pump up her best friend.
Cheryl just let out a laugh but Tabitha wanted to hear her say it, she wanted her to feel confident and strong.
'I can't hear you' Tabitha raised her eyebrow.
'I'm a bad bitch and I've got this' Cheryl shook her head with a smile, she could always rely on her best friend to cheer her up.
'That's right' Tabitha said just before the cab driver let them know that they were arriving at the hotel. Tabitha watched the colour drain from the redheads face, so she quickly asked some questions about Betty to distract her.
The cab driver pulled up and helped the women with their bags from the trunk, Cheryl could see her hand visibly shaking as she grabbed her suitcase but she took deep breaths to try and calm herself down. She glanced around and the hotel looked beautiful, she could hear the waves of the beach just across the street too.
'How gorgeous is this place?' Tabitha said as she grabbed Cheryl's hand and pulled her towards the hotel.
'It amazing' Cheryl smiled 'why are you holding my hand though?'.
'Because I'm now your girlfriend duh, did you forget already' Tabitha rolled her eyes.
'I guess I did' Cheryl shrugged.
The hotel lobby was huge and when Cheryl walked in Betty almost knocked her over as she ran towards her. Cheryl still wasn't big on physical contact but she embraced her cousin, she guessed she had missed her too. Jughead wrapped his arms around her next, he'd grown up a lot since she last saw him too, gone was the teenage boy she was used to.
'It's great to see you' Betty beamed 'do you want to introduce us'. The blonde motioned to Tabitha who's hand was still wrapped in the redheads.
'Of course' Cheryl smiled 'this is my girlfriend Tabitha'.
'It's great to meet you Tabitha' Betty said as she held out her hand, Tabitha shook it and then shook Jugheads with a smile on her face.
'The pleasure is all mine' Tabitha grinned 'congratulations on getting married this week, I'm really happy for you both'.
'Thank you' Jughead smiled 'well let's get you checked in, everyone else has already arrived, we're planning on meeting for dinner at 6pm in the hotel restaurant'.
'Sounds great' Cheryl smiled, knowing that she was in the same building as Toni felt pretty surreal if she was honest.
Betty and Jughead took Cheryl and Tabitha to the check in desk and left them to it while they headed to their own room. The redhead was glad, she was already feeling overwhelmed and she was glad she had some time before the dinner.
