Darcy's POV
I'm currently sitting next to Aubrey on the couch. Mom and Dad had moved chairs so they were sitting in front of us.

"Well." I say. They both sigh.

"I met your father in 1989..." My mom started.

"When we met... It was love at first sight! I knew he was the one.." She said lacing her fingers with dads.

"We got married 3 weeks later. I got pregnant with chance right after. A year later we moved here, with a baby chance. 9 months later a little girl popped out." mom said smiling to her self.

"I was so happy! We had the life we always wanted. But I noticed something was different about you. Everything you ate was red. You always wanted to be outside, just like your father." she said looking over to him. I look at him.

"I asked him if there was something I did wrong, if-if there was a disease that I should know about.. But there was nothing." Mom says tears building up in her eyes. I rolled my eyes.

"Mmkay." I say encouraging them to go on.

"I told your mom I was a vampire when we got married." Dad said keeping his eyes down.

"Ah! So your the one." I laugh laying back against the couch.

"We didn't think it could happen... But it did. We thought chance was one.. But he hated to be outside. Hated the color red. He isn't a vampire. Not even a half vampire." Dad said.

"We knew that you would have to die to become a full vampire... You have to have vampire blood in your system, to become a vampire... you were born with it in your system. Or you have to be bitten by one..." Mom said. I nod.

"Which is why we didn't want you near Luke... He could bite you at any moment. Change you for good. We didn't want you to become a monster, you didn't deserve that. You still don't deserve it." Dad said.

"Why didn't you tell me before?" I ask. Sitting up again.

"We were trying to keep you safe. We didn't want you to think of yourself as a monster..." Mom says. I nod.

"Well I wish you would have told me." I say reaching over taking my moms hand.

She shivers. "Sorry... I just never thought your hands would ever be these cold." Mom says lapping her hands ontop of mine.

"I know... I never would have thought we would be here." I say.

"I'm sorry we lied to you sweetie." Dad said.

"It's fine dad... You were just trying to protect me." I say taking my hand from moms, then putting it in dads.

"And I love and hate you for that." I say letting tears fall.

"We love you too honey." They say standing up. They wrap me in their arms.

"I've got to go." I say pulling away.

"Well we do." I say looking back at Aubrey.

"Why?" Mom asks.

"Well Marcus is making us do this converge thing... If we don't. Then we both die." I say. Their eyes widen.

"Sweetie. You can't do the converge. It's to dangerous. And Marcus?? The werewolf Marcus?!" Dad asks standing up.

"Uh yeah.." I say.

"He's going to kill you! He's going to use the converge powers, to make him the most powerful werewolf in destination." Dad says as he starts pacing the room.

"You know about destinat-"

"Where is Luke?!" Mom asks her eyes wide.

"On destination.." I say slowly. "Why??" I ask looking at both of them.

"Why hasn't he saved you yet?" Dad yells.

"I thought you wanted me to die! He's tried! Before we got moved to a look-alike palace." I yell back.

"We will follow you. We will find Luke. But you have to go now." Dad said grabbing his jacket.

"Da-"

"Baby. We have to save you." Dad says cupping my face.

I nod. "very well. Aubrey let's go." I say grabbing her wrist.

"We are going to act like we were fighting. We will be in destination. I promise." dad says kissing my forehead.

"Ok." I open. "Wow dad! How big of a dick can you be!?" I yell stepping outside pulling Aubrey with me.

"Yeah well at last I'm not a monster like you!" Dad yells back.

"Dad.. You mean Marcus will become a witch and a werewolf?" I whisper walking close to him, holding my pointer finger at him. Making Marcus think if was saying rude things.

"Yes. Be careful." Dad says putting a look of anger on his face.

"Fine!" I yell stopping off.

"Get the hell away from here!" Mom yells. I storm off.

I get to Marcus. "Let's go." I growl.

He jumps up. "I take it didn't go well?" Marcus asks.

"Shut up." I growl. I stop.

"Go." I growl. I turn back when they were ahead of me.

"Good luck." Dad whispers. I nod.

We are going to be saved. Thank god.
