The silver lining of the cloud: Part 1

The street is busy with morning traffic. “Are we going to reach on time?”, Mr. Kim enquired his driver.

“ Yes Sir, we will be there in ten minutes”, the driver answered.

The traffic started to move forward slowly. “ That’s good then”, Mr. Kim said as he watched the moving cars on the next lane of the road.

They reached Min mansion on time. Mr. Kim was welcomed by Min’s family butler “ Good morning Mr. Kim. Sir Min is waiting for you in his study. Please follow me”, the butler informed him and started walking towards the study.

“He is inside. Have a nice day”, the butler bowed and went back when they reached by the door.

  Mr. Kim entered inside the room.

“ You are late Wook-ah”, Min Yong-su told Mr. Kim but there was no bite in his words.

“ Oh forgive my tardiness Yong-su I have some very important business to attend to. You are the one asked to meet immediately”, Mr. Kim counter back.

“ That’s because it is important and I have one more person to..”,before he can finish there is knock on the door.

“ Come in”, Mr. Min said while Mr. Kim looked at the door in confusion. The door opened and Karen entered.

“Good Morning, I hope I am not late”, Karen bowed respectfully towards both of them.

“ It’s okay he just arrived. Please take a seat”, Mr. Min showed her the seat.

When they all comfortably settled down Mr. Min spoke again “ I think both of have a general idea why we are meeting here”.

Karen and Mr. Kim looked each other and nodded to Mr. Min.

“ You should look at this first”, Mr. Min showed them two documents to read and they both started looking through the documents. Karen started to become tensed and Mr. Kim let out a loud exhale.

“ Yong-su this is bad really bad. If she finds out our baby bear…”, He couldn’t even finish his sentence.

“ Wook-ah calm down. We will make sure everything is alright”, Mr. Min assured him.

   “ I think I have something to share with you too”, Karen took out her iPad from her hand bag and set it on the table so both of them could see the screen. She took a deep breath and played the clips. When it ended a mix of different emotions passed through them anger, sadness and betrayal.

“ I know it was her that bitch and Jihan didn’t believed me then. We shouldn’t let this happen again”,Mr. Min spat out. Mr. Kim groaned in frustration.

“ I think it’s time to tell him about his past”,Mr. Min told them.

“ Please don’t tell him about the clips. I don’t think he is ready for it. Give me some time to sort it out”, Karen asked them earnestly.

“ I understand your concern but I think we should tell him not suddenly. One at a time. Jin asked me about Tae’s past and I think we should tell them together”, Mr. Kim suggested.

“ Jin knows about the clips. I showed him first”, Karen told. Both of them nodded but didn’t say anything about it.

“ I think you and Karen can tell them meantime I will deal with this but I think it’s late to prevent it”,Mr. Min pointedly looked at the documents. Mr. Kim and Karen acknowledged his opinion. They bid goodbye after that.

Yoongi was about to go and get lunch he saw Jin walking towards him.

“ Hey Jin hyung, going to see Tae”, Yoongi asked.
