Azalea looked around the room and could see the blank looks on the faces of everyone around her. In contrast, she can see the emotions floating in Severus' eyes, bringing unfamiliar emotions in her. Severus is one of the few who shows his genuine emotions and feelings towards her, even though they are hateful and disgusted.

Then came his & Lily's Hogwarts letters. His happiness has no bounds thinking that he will have some time to enjoy his life with Lily, which he never had before, but that was short-lived as well because they both were sorted into different houses. Their friendship could not stand the difficulties and hardships of being Gryffindor and Slytherin. They tried to maintain their company throughout the years, even between the legendary Snakes and Lions rivalry. Still, the constant pranks, the difference between Snakes and the other three houses, and the indifference of Professors and the headmaster of Hogwarts towards his house that the tricks played by James and Sirius were cruel, embarrassing, and painful. In the fifth, the final straw was him facing near death at the hands of Remus, which was in his wolf form. Everything moon and he snapped at her and called her the word which she never was in the first place as she came there to comfort him, and everything fell apart after that; later, he followed the path of Dark Arts and found himself joining the Dark Lord and made his way through his Inner Circle and later into Elite.

Then he heard that Lily got married, and he turned more bitter later on; the news came that she gave birth to a daughter. In contrast, Longbottom gave birth to a Son, and he heard the Prophecy in Hogshead prophesized by Trelawney. He ran and informed the Dark Lord, who made his goal to kill the Potter Baby, and why he chose the Potters was unknown to him; after that, his mark was dimmed. News traveled that the Potters were killed, their location was disclosed to Dark Lord by Black, The Potter's daughter killed Dark Lord, and Black was imprisoned for his crimes of Betraying Potters, Killing Peter Pettigrew and 12 Muggles.

He felt guilty as he hugged Lily and cried because he knew he was responsible for her death. In contrast, her daughter called, sitting in the crib looking at her dead mother's figure, which worsened the situation; he went to Albus. He confessed that he was the one who gave away the prophecy, which gave Albus a chance to use him as a pawn. Here he is, a Hogwarts Professor and teaching these dunderheads, which he hates with a vengeance as he always loved creating, modifying, and tweaking Potions. After fifteen years, Dark Lord is back with a sane mind and perfection to conquer the Wizarding World. He just said the person he tried to kill all this time was his soul mate and spoke his soul mate is his niece and goddaughter whom he hated and tormented all his life.

"The other reason is Azalea is my soul mate," Marvolo dropped the news on them just like that, and there was pin-drop silence in the room other than breathing.
