Ahaha, long time no see🧍🏻‍♀️🧍🏻‍♀️

[Taylor's POV]

As we got dropped off at the nearby shopping center, San helped me out of the taxi and we began making our way to the hotel.

Walking by a few people and pushing our way through small crowds, San held onto my hand. He never dared to let go in fear that he'll loose me to the groups of people.

We walked past businessmen and women, families, couples, grumpy looking dudes, and just different people with their own different lives.

The hotel wasn't located in a very busy part of Manila, but it was still surrounded by business offices and whatnot.

Finally reaching our destination hand in hand unscathed, the doorman let us in and we made our way up to the suite.

Knocking before entering the main door, we already notified everyone that's we be arriving around this time, but we still didn't want to barge in on anything.

Chan, who had just walked into the main room, was the first to greet us. Noticing his gaze slowly go down to San's and I's intertwined hands, I immediately but discreetly let go. The rest of the guys joining us in the living room soon after.

"Ok let's get this started. San, please show us what information you and Taylor have collected," Hongjoong started.

Going to sit down for San's little presentation, Chan just so decides to sit right next to me. Leaning back, he drapes his arm on the back of the couch and gets comfortable. The sight being quite pleasing to the eyes. His posture, the stare, his veiny hands, indeed an appealing look.

As the presentation went on, I also noticed Chan's clothing choice. He was in some comfortable loungewear, only a black tee and a pair of grey sweats.

Oh the sweats...

You all can imagine already. I was keeping calm of course, staying in my natural stoic-like manner, but trust me; in my mind, I was feral.

My own voice inside my head was barking like a mad dog, my brain was doing full on summersaults, cartwheels, you name it.

As my mind became foggy, my focus was completely off of the presentation.

Still zoned out, multiple people around me tried getting my attention. Finally snapping out of it by a little shake from Hannah who was on my other side.

"What? Huh?"

"The plans for the next three days? Didn't the butler guy talk to you three about them?" San asked.

"Oh right, yes. Tomorrow Kyla's father plans taking us dress shopping along with talking to Kyla about last minute changes to her party. Blah blah blah, the second day he plans on letting us have some type of girls night in the city. And the third day will be last minute preparations and Kyla is supposedly having a family dinner at some high end restaurant. Family only, she's going alone."

"Great! Okay... Seonghwa, you wrote all of that down right? Also Mingi and Jisung; during that dinner I want you both to do what you guys do best. Spy on them," Chan laid out.

"Keep an eye on Kyla at all costs that night, but make sure to not be noticed," Hongjoong ordered.

"So that's it for this meeting?" Jeongin asked.

"Yup, meeting adjourned."

Chan dismissed everyone from the living room, yet hesitated to leave as well.

San had already left though. I think it was to talk to Hongjoong or something.

Feeling Chan's gaze pierce my back, I turn to face him.

"Can I help you?" I ask.

"I was just wondering..." he began. I hummed in encouragement for him to carry on. Peering outside the window nearest to me.

"How are you enjoying dealing with a mafia and a gang so far?"

I let out a breathy laugh.

"It's quite entertaining, that's for sure."

He laughed as well. "Yeah... we try to have fun every once in a while," he said whilst sitting down in the couch next to me.

"You guys are all really close, huh?" I question and he nods.

"We're like brothers, we're a family. We've got each other's backs... it's always been like that. What about you, Olivia, and Kyla? You guys seem very close as well," he states with a faint grin on his face.

"Yeah we are. They're my best friends, my closest ones. We've know each other since elementary, it's just that middle school really brought us closer," I say while looking off over the buildings around us.

"May I ask why?" He questions.

"Why middle school brought us closer?"

He nodded.

Sighing, I feel myself relax next to him on the soft and fluffy couch cushions. "Well to start off bluntly, our 'friend group' back then wasn't the greatest. Their attitudes to people were bipolar, and their feeling were fake most of the time. It was as if those girls lacked empathy and compassion from what I remember. Although, Liv and I were included in most things, we noticed Kyla being absent most of the time. Turns out she was just not invited. She was excluded yet at school they made her feel like they'd be her number 1's. They basically tricked her and messed with her mind in such a sneaky way. Through it all, no matter what, we never let anything tear us apart. I just really hope that involving ourselves with you guys won't mess with that. What we're doing hear can be really dangerous really quick. I'd hate to see my girls hurt..."

I didn't realize it at that exact moment, but I had just let my guard down and opened up to this guy. His energy surrounding made me feel at ease though. I felt like my all is safe with him.

"That's so sweet," he said after a silent moment. I smile in fondness of my best friends and our friendship throughout the years, when a warm yet rough hand brushes above mine.

"I promise you, your friend will be fine under our care," Chan reassured me. He held my hand in his and looked me in the eyes with his sweetest look.

Oh my god...
