You looked out from your balcony, Colibri sleeping in his cage next to you. "Ay papa, mama.. Why..." You sighed. You took in the night scenery, watching as you smelt the cold air . You shivered, as you threw on a pair of warm pajamas, considering you were still in your day clothes.

You walked back onto your balcony, still gazing at the moon. The moon always seemed to comfort you, especially on nights when you were a restless sleeper.. However, it wasn't working tonight.. You couldn't sleep with the constant thought of being sacrificed by Lord Mictlan lingering in the back of your mind. You sighed once again, slowly closing your eyes and feeling warm, salty tears run down your face. You didn't want this to happen.. You just turned 15, and they're already trying to take your life away. Why am I crying? Crying is for the weak. You thought as you wiped your tears. Just as you were ready to walk in, you felt a familiar presence. It was not your parents or your brothers no.. It was a presence that felt dangerous, but you were drawn to it for some reason. You walked to the very end of your balcony, standing by the edge. You looked into the forest view you had, and closed your eyes, feeling the moonlight shine down onto your body. You began to relax, but just as you were about to drift off to sleep, the moonlight was blocked. "Huh?" you said, lifting your heavy eyes to look at the moon.. Your eyes focused, as you saw a white haired man floating above you, blocking the moonlight from your vision. "I-its you.." You jumped back, seeing the floating man descend onto your balcony. "Hello, Princess Y/N, I'm here to check in on you" He said standing in front of you. He walks towards you but you push him. "Don't come near me Y--you monstruo!" you yelled as you kept your hands against his chest to keep the distance between you steady. "M-monster? I am nothing but an emissary!," he yelled back. He pushed your arms off of his chest, and turned around. "Listen, Y/N I don't want to do this myself! Lord Mictlan is the most powerful god there is! I have no other choice and neither do you!" He said as he grabbed your hand, tangling it with his. "Why don't you do anything!?" you yelled back gripping his hand without knowing. "BECAUSE I CAN'T!" he yelled, but because he pulled himself forgetting about your hand, both of your bodies were dragged closer to each other. You ended up being in a dance position.
