Poem - Soulmate

Life is tough, and so are we,

but we still feel the need for someone.

That someone you don't need to tell what's wrong,

for he can sense it by just looking into your eyes, which once resembled the sun.

That someone who you adore, admire

and appreciate their presence in your life.

That someone you can trust wholeheartedly,

cause you know they won't backstab you with a knife.

Let's accept the fact that no one can change the past,

knowing it, we still mourn.

That someone might not be able to make the pain disappear,

but he'll surely be your shoulder to cry on.

That someone who has seen you at your worst,

and more importantly, not left you then;

that someone who may not have been able to make you stop crying,

but he did make you laugh at the end.

That someone right there

is your true Soulmate.

He'll make you fall in love with yourself too;

so don't ever leave them cause you get them by fate.

But a soulmate need not necessarily be a lover,

for it can be your mother, father, or your best friend;

it can be your brother, sister, or anyone else

as long as they stay with you till the very end.
