Annabelle ♡ Regulus Black ♡

CHAPTER FOURTEEN

I start my day with a run to the owlery as usual and today I had to wear a jacket as the air is getting colder. The first snowfall is yet to come but the weather has definitely turned to winter. Standing at the top of the owlery I pull my jacket closer due to the wind. I could see the castle covered in fog and soft sun behind the clouds. The beauty of the moment has me completely enticed into it before I am brought out of the trance by a voice. "I knew I would find you here," Sirius says and fog comes out with the words. I chuckle a bit at the scene in front of me. Sirius stood there with a huge fur coat, a woolen beanie, and hand gloves.

"Well well, don't you look cozy?" I say smiling widely and a blush crept upon him and he nudges me.

"Why were u looking for me?"

"James wants to play a quidditch game."

"Cool let's go."

We both made our way to the ground where people from different houses stood to play the game and some sat in the stands with coffees or hot cocos to watch the game. I notice that Ravenclaws and Gryffindors stood on one side and on the other stood Hufflepuff and Slytherin. As my eyes scanned both sides for a moment my eyes met the grey ones that we're already looking at me. I moved my eyes away as soon as I could for some reason that I don't know. I also found Josh standing next to Francis.

James waves his hands in the air as soon as he sees us and runs to us. "So kind of you to join us, Your Majesty." He says bowing and I pat his head "You got it, you dork." He stands next to me and Sirius. "Where is Remus?" I ask looking in the stands where he usually is. "Oh, since Lyod Jordan is not here Remus agreed to.." Before he could finish what he was saying Remus' voice rang through the ground loudly "Ladies and Gentlemen." James points his hand towards the commentary box where Remus sat with his wand to his neck "..to do that." Remus continues as everyone had now turned their attention to him "Welcome to the first edition of mix house Quidditch tournament. Two captains have been decided one of which is someone we all know and love who makes our time here at Hogwarts more fun and magical than it already is, put your hands together for the one, the only JAMES POTTER!" as soon as he says James's name almost everyone in the stands cheers. "He should be the commentator in every match, he is amazing!" I said with my Jaw almost on the ground with the jaws of the other two boys next to me. "Yeah, he is awesome." "Yeah, he is awesome." They say together "Jinx" "Jinx," They say together again  "Jinx again" "Jinx again," They say together again and start laughing and I roll my eyes chuckling.

"The other captain is the one who we all know for he is always ready to help no matter who you are the one who has charms of a veela the one we can't help but love put your hands together for our Charming Caption AMOS DIGGORY!" Another roar of applause and cheers went through the grounds with this. 

"The First team standing near the north gate is Intelligent Knights" Cheers went around "The second team standing near the south gate is Friendly Killers. Very original Guys." And everyone laughs "And to sweeten the deal of this match we have two special people to Referee, to know them is to love them put your hands together for non-other than Professor McGonagall and Professor Dumbledore." I whipped my head around to find them standing in the middle of the ground. I wanna ask when they arrived but hey they are well them. 

"Both the teams take your places," Professor Dumbledore says and all of us take our places. I looked around the ground and saw everyone ready for the game to begin.  In the center of the stadium was James staring down at Black...Uhh if looks could kill Black would be six feet under and more. " Let the game begin." Professor McGonagall says as she releases the golden snitch, simultaneously Professor Dumbledore throws the quaffle in the air beginning the game. I instantly tried to find the snitch as James takes the quaffle. 

Remus' voice echos "James Potter taking the quaffle in this hands, is flashing towards the hoops with Diggory right at his tail. He passes the ball to King and he dashes ahead leaving Lopez in the clouds of dust. Oh...and a bludger passes by him barely missing but he drops the quaffle luckily for the team Packett Catches the quaffle before Diggory could and throws it into the hoops and SCORE!!!. 10 points to Intelligent Knights. Now the quaffle is in the hands of Diggory as he rushes towards the opposite hoops." 

I drowned his commentary and tried to spot the snitch and my eyes locked with black. He looked right at me for a while and then his eyes go wide, which made me look behind me and I see a bludger coming towards me and I move, missing it just by a couple of millimeters. And then I saw it, and I rush towards it and I could sense someone behind me, I guess it was Black and increased my speed. I went up and down into a stand and through a stand but never letting it out of my sight. Sometimes I almost caught it and sometimes Black almost caught it. But at this moment the snitch stood between Black and I. Both of us rushed towards it. If one of us didn't stop we would crash and for a moment I let my eyes leave the snitch for a second and locked with his, his eyes showed the same concern as mine but I was not stopping and I guess neither was he. I increased my speed and his eyes widen. My hand extended to catch the snitch his doing the same. I decided to move down as soon as I catch the snitch because I was moving faster than him. I was closing in and suddenly moments before my hand engulfs the snitch Black's hand touch mine and he somehow manages to stop but I couldn't and I crashed into him and lost my balance. I heard gasps echo and felt air rushing beside me as I fell from my broom still tightly clutching the snitch hoping it would save me from hitting the ground but in a moment someone caught me and I held into him, my face burird into the chest and a deep breath of relief left me.

As soon as he touches the ground and lets me stand on my own I catch his eyes. Black had saved me. He looked into my eyes and I felt my heartbeat rise. I pushed it back in my mind blaming it on the adrenaline rush due to the fall. He raises one eyebrow and gestures lightly towards my right side. And I remembered 'the snitch'.

I lift my hand in the air showing that i had caught the snitch.

Remus' voice echos "And Anni Potter has caught the snitch adding 140 points to Intelligent Knights and ending the game at the scores 370 to 230 Intelligent Knight winning this game. 🎊. "

Every player had now ascended and surrounded me. I caught a glips of black's back as he leaves the ground, before james and sirius hug me and start gushing over me.
