Elena pulled Stefan into the front of the school, where all the benches were. Sitting down, she gestured for him to sit across from her. Stefan slowly sat down, still unsure about what he just learned.

El, rolled her eyes. Clearing her throat, she began to speak. “I’ll tell you now, yes I know what you are. I have since the beginning.”

Stefan shifted around in his seat, now nervous about what El could possibly do. “How could you know? I thought you were just…”

“Human?” When the vampire nodded to that, she kept talking. “I'm a Gilbert, Stefan. Not to mention the doppelganger witch. I knew all about you since I could read.” Which wasn’t true, but she had to keep up the charade.

“Doppelganger?”

She hummed, suddenly remembering he had no idea why I looked like his ex-vampire girlfriend. “That's why I look like Katherine Pierce. I’m her doppelganger.” She shrugged her shoulders like it was common knowledge.

The vampire blinked. “You know about Katherine?”

“I do.” She confirmed before bringing up a tricky subject. “I also know about your brother, Damon. He’s a danger here.”

“I don’t know why he’s here.” Stefan gulped. “I’m trying to figure that out.”

“Well, figure it out fast.” Even though Elena knew having Stefan be an ally would be beneficial, she needed this bond to break. “Because if you don’t deal with him, I will. And you won’t like how.” She grabbed her bag, while standing up. “I gotta call my brother. Goodbye Stefan. It was fun while it lasted.” Touching his shoulder as she passed by him.

Caroline and El walked into the witch’s bedroom after grabbing some water from the kitchen. Caroline then sat on the bed and began to ask questions about the mysteries of Stefan Salvatore. “So, what happened between you and Stefan. You’ve been avoiding him all day it seems like. Oh!” Her head preaked up. “Did you guys have sex and he wasn’t good?”

El froze in her spot. The question startling her, before shaking her head remembering this was season one Care. “No, we just talked all night on the porch.”

Care scoffed. “You and Stefan talked all night? There was no sloppy first kiss or touchy feely of any kind?

“Nope.” The doppelganger then flopped on her bed next to the human.

“Not even a hand shake?” The blonde couldn’t believe her friend. This fine ass male specimen is showing interest and she does nothing? Caroline could not relate. “I mean, Elena-”

“El.” She interrupts the blonde, causing her to raise her brows. “I go by El now. Elena died in that car crash.”

“Okay.” Caroline says, before continuing her rant. “El, I am your friend. Okay? You’re supposed to share the smut.”

“It’s true!” The witch pushed Care’s shoulder, causing both of them to giggle. “We literally just talked. No smut, I promise.”

“Okay, what’s with the blockage? Just jump his bones already! Okay, it’s easy. Boy likes girl, girl likes boy. Sex!”

“Okay!” El then ended the conversation, before jumping into why she brought Caroline over. “Now we are done talking about my non-exist sex life. I need to show you something.”

She leaned back for a second. “And you’re only showing me and not Bonnie?”

El ignored Caroline and began ripping apart one of her pillows with the knife she kept on her night stand. Feathers flowed out of the pillows, pilling all around them. “Okay, take a look around.” El gestured around her room wanting Care’s eyes to follow her. “WIndow is shut. Ceiling fan is off. And the sound of the A.C is nonexist. Watch.”

Just like how canon Bonnie showed Elena was a witch, El began to lift the feather. She waved her hand quite similar to the way Wanda uses her magic in the Marvel movies, before using a bit more power to lift the others around them.

“What…” Caroline muttered. Her eyes sparkling in awe of the display of magic.

El lowered the feathers. “I’m a witch, Care. A real life witch.”

“But, how? Why? This doesn’t- I mean- I’m so confused.” The blonde put her head in her hands.

“It’s a long complicated story that began a thousand years ago. And I will tell you the whole story, but I need your help first.”

That just made the blonde even more confused. “You need my help? You never ask for my help.”

El’s eyes widened at that line. No wonder season one Caroline Forbes was so insecure, her friends never seemed like they wanted her around. She wanted to change that. So, El grabbed the blonde's hand. “That changes now. I hope that’s okay.”

Caroline looked down at their hands before looking up. “Yeah.” The corners of her mouth turned upwards. “Yeah, it’s okay.”

El’s face mirrored Caroline’s. “Good.” Clearing her throat before speaking again. “How good are you at distracting?”

“Oh, don’t worry. I can distract anyone.”

El walked through the woods. Normally she would be more cautious because of Damon, but she knows he’s out trolling his brother. And seeing as Caroline was texting her updates on the whole Stefan and Damon situation in the middle of town every half hour. El knew she didn’t have to worry.

Finding an opening between the trees perfect enough to see the comet pass by, she began setting up. Sliding the satchel off her shoulder and onto the ground with a slight thud, El started pulling out her ingredients. A map, crystals, her grimoire, candles, white oak ash, and a camping table she shrunk an hour before.

Returning the table to its original size, El placed the map of the east coast in the middle. Circling it with candles.

Checking the time on her phone. 8:19pm. She only had six minutes before Hayley’s Comet passed over the town. Lighting the candles with a wave of her hand she then placed her crystals in a star shape pattern before opening to the page she had bookmarked. She remembers Esther doing a similar spell, but seeing as El had a few bits of ash from the bridge left over (she went back after the fireman left). It should be a little easier finding the stake or more importantly what’s it next to.

The witch suddenly felt a rush of power. Looking up she saw the comet passing overhead. Grabbing a handful of ash from the plastic bag El then looked down at her spell book and began to recite the words. “L’arma filium. Pa kenbe ex oculus. Indi. L’arma filium. Pa kenge ex oculus. Indi.” Blood dripped onto the worn paper, startling El before shaking her head. She needed to do this. This would be the only time she would have enough power to find the damn abusive asswhole. “L’arma filium. Pa kenbe ex oculus. Indi! L’arma filium. Pa kenbe ex oculus. Indi!”

El fell to the ground, exhausted. Laying there for a few seconds before pushing herself off the ground slowly. Whipping the crimson liquid from under her nose she peaked at the map and what she saw surprised her. The white oak ash soaked into the paper around a certain town. Charlotte in North Carolina.

Knowing that the spell was a success. She layed back down on the forest floor and threw up her arms in victory, before they fell limp by her side. “I’ll get up in a minute.”

Soooo….How ya’ll doing?

I didn’t even realize it’s been almost a year since I updated.

Oops?

Anyways. The spell is from TVD wiki. I used the spell that Esther used, but with a little twist because she didn’t have a map.
