"Did you redecorate the place again?" Yoongi asks. "This is the seventh time I saw a new arrangement in this house in a month Maya... You sure you are not going crazy?"
"Well, maybe just a little bit."
"What? What's going on?"
"Well, you guys heard about what I did that day before going to your house right?"
Yoongi nods.
"That is what is going on."
Yoongi looks at me with a confused expression.
"He was the first person who I killed, and it has been sort of haunting me at night. Like whenever I close my eyes and go to sleep, I can picture his face and almost hear him beg for mercy before I put the bullet through his head. Whenever I have been sitting, doing nothing, my mind wavers to that guy's last moments. Keeping myself engaged is the only thing that helps me now."
"Have you talked to Namjoon about this?"
"Yes, considering I need to explain why I keep on moving the furniture in the middle of the night."
"Okay, and what did he say?"
"He asked me to look at the positive side of everything and try and block that memory out. It's not easy you know." I say as I hang my head apologetically.
"Of course it's not. It's gonna be traumatizing. But the faster you get over it the better. Because soon enough, you might have to see more of these."
"For someone who's getting married in the next fifteen hours, you seem to be pretty calm." I say, desperately trying to change the topic.
"Well, I'm not, at all, I'm freaking out internally but at least I'm doing a good job at hiding it."
"Woah...... Damn!"
"Maya, I am going to ask you a question and you need to answer honestly. Like one hundred percent honest."
"Okay, what is it? You are scaring me." What on earth is going on inside his head?
"Do you think this is too early?"
"What is too early?
"This. Me and Hobi getting married."
"Honestly, at first I and Namjoon felt the same thing, that it was too early for you guys to get married. But then we went to your house and I had a talk with Hobi. What he said made me realize that some people find forever in their partner early, some find them late. You both were lucky enough to find it early. I know you are freaking out right now but know this, you guys took the right decision. Because seeing you guys together, makes me realize that no matter how long you are with someone or no matter what your relationship with the person was before you started dating, every day can still feel like the start of a new relationship. The playfulness, constant bickering, flirting and all those antics that you both have going on give me hope that I and Namjoon can go back to being that, to having what you guys have."
"But I still feel like Hobi would have been more comfortable if we got married a little later."
"Listen to me when I say this. He is content with the idea of marrying you. It doesn't matter to him if it's today, tomorrow, after a month, after a year, or a decade later. He said that he wants forever with you. Isn't that all you need?"
"He said that? He said that he wants that with me?"
"Well, isn't it obvious? He said yes to you, you dumbass. You are getting married to him tomorrow. Of course, he would want forever with you. What the hell?"
"Oh yeah right. Sorry"
Seeing him like this makes me laugh so much.
"Maya, I just thought of something. And it's hilarious."
"What?"
"You are the best ma'am of the guy who took your virginity and then ended up marrying a guy." He says before he laughs out loud, only to receive a smack from me by a pillow.
"Oh my stomach hurts from laughing," he says.
"Okay, it is funny." I say as I join him in our laughter session.
"Huh, it's been so long since I've laughed like that," I say, trying to catch my breath.
"Yeah, same man, same."
"Okay on that note, let's get some rest. You have a big day tomorrow."
"I'm getting married."
"Yes you are"
"I'M GETTING MARRIED"
"YOU ARE GETTING MARRIED."
And us screaming and jumping and crying about this goes on for the next ten minutes before we finally decide to end Yoongi's last day of life as a bachelor.
