How Do You Even?

*Told In The POV of A Bullied Teen*

Dear Bully,

How do you do this? Ruin lives, that is. Ruin it all. Take my dignity away from me. How do you even? Why would you even?

Do you, Do you realize that kids actually cause self harm- go as far as killing themselves because of what you said? Did you know that you are the reason why sometimes I wish I could just die. Oh, do you ever wish you could just die? Of course not. You enjoy picking on me. You enjoy telling me that I'm not good enough for society.

In truth, neither are you. Gosh, if you only knew what it was like. What it was like to wake up every morning and look at yourself in the mirror and think, I'm not good enough for society, and I will never be.

They say that words can never hurt me, but do they know that verbal harrassment can lead to suicide.

Suicide is the third leading cause of death in young people in the United States. Four thousand, four hundred bullying-linked suicide deaths. For every suicude, there are one hundred attempts. Fourteen percent of Highschool students have considered suicide. Seven percent have attempted. Girls of ages ranging from ten to fourteen are of higher risk of commiting suicide.

So now you know. Words don't hury you. NO. They KILL you.

I hope you think before you say a word. Ask yourself, Do I really want to be a cause of death?
