THE TIMELINE

1978:

July 31 — The class of '71 leaves Hogwarts Castle for the last time as graduates.

Sometime in June — Lily Evans and James Potter officially join the Order of the Phoenix as active members in battle.

November — Lily Evans finds out that she is a little over four months pregnant.

1979:

January 5 — Lily and James Potter marry in a joyful ceremony at the Potter Family Manor.

April 1 — Florence Euphemia Potter, first child of the marriage of James and Lily Potter, is born at St. Mungo's Hospital for Magical Maladies and Injuries.

Mid-May — A baptism ceremony is held for Florence Potter, with Remus Lupin as godfather and Marlene McKinnon as her godmother.

October — Harry Potter is conceived.

1980:

April 1 — Florence Euphemia Potter turns one year old.

July 31 — Harry James Potter, second son of James and Lily Potter, is born in Godric's Hollow, West Country, England, Great Britain.

Mid-August — A baptism ceremony is held for Harry Potter, with Sirius Black as godfather and Dorcas Meadowes as his godmother.

1981:

Early July — The McKinnon family (including Marlene McKinnon) are all kill by Lord Voldemort.

July 31 — Harry Potter turns one year old.

September — Peter Pettigrew replaces Sirius Black as the Potters' secret keeper. Within a week, Pettigrew (secretly a Death Eater) betrayed the Potters' whereabouts to Lord Voldemort.
