Liam Payne One Shot - Safe Haven

Hi everyone, this is another one shot written by S and I hope you enjoy it! This is an AU with Payzer  -S

    We didn't have enough money to pay for the surgery ourselves, so thank goodness Danielle's parents had some cash saved away. It didn't guarantee recovery, but it gave us hope for better days. We decided that we wanted to invite a few friends each to celebrate and break the news about the surgery.

    We planned the celebration for three days from now to be prepared and for a good notice to friends. Danielle and I spent the next few days in each others arms and setting up the decorations.

*Party Day*

    I'm glad that I can trust our friends. They didn't spread the word about the party, so it was all under our control.

    We ended up breaking the news about the money and surgery during the cooking outside. A couple of people were shocked about it, and most of the rest were cheerful. But there was one person that was so happy about it, you would think he got the money for himself. That person was Zayn, the mysterious friend of Danielle's. She still wouldn't tell me how they met, but I trust her with my life, and I've only seen the guy maybe twice since I have met Dani. 

    Before we could toast Dani with tea because we wanted to avoid alcohol issues, the mysterious guy left. He gave Dan a quick hug and a peck on the forehead with a mumbled, "I'm glad you got it, Dan." giving me a nod and handshake. The guy really gave me the creeps. But for Danielle I would do anything, just to see her smile. 

    People began leaving one by one, until it was just me, Dani, and a major clean up job waiting for us. The deck was the worse of the whole house, so we started there.

    "Dani, you know that I trust you with my life and I love you, right?"

    "Yes of course, Li. I love you, too. But why are you bringing this up? Is something wrong?" She asked.

    "No, I just wanted you to know just in case..." I Didn't want to let her know my fears of the surgery. But she was smarter than this."

    "Liam, nothing is going to happen to me. We will get through this." She took my hands and looked into my eyes.

    "Danielle." She shushed me and kissed me lightly. She kept her eyes closed after she kissed me, and just opened enjoyed the moment, just for it to be ruined by a clanging coming from inside. She opened her eyes, but she wasn't shocked. "Somebody probably came back for something. Lets go see who it is." She said still holding my hands, as she walked into the house. "Hello?" we both called out, but nobody answered. Weird.

    "Hello, is anybody there?" I ask. It was getting dark, but I would still be able to see if someone was in sight. Still no answer. I put a light on, and heard a small scream from Danielle. That is when I turned around to her, after she let go of my hand, and I noticed him. He had a knife to Dani's throat. Zayn.

    "Zayn, put the knife down." I warned.

    "Why should I, Liam? What are you going to do, huh?" Zayn taunted.

    "Zayn, please!" I pleaded. He tightened his grip on the knife, and pushed it closer into Danielle's neck. She was crying and let out a crying sound.

    "Zayn! Please, don't do this." Dani spoke up. Only causing him to cover her mouth with his free hand.

    "What do you want from us? Is it money, jewelry? We don't have any, so you're in the wrong place!" I yelled. Danielle was freaking out, and it looked like she couldn't breathe.
