Just a few days after Antonio's day for his blessing. it was soon my time. my birthday passed only 2 days ago. I clearly wasn't ready to go in-front of many people to receive my gift.

the day of the gift.

i woke up in my ordinary room, knowing today was the day I receive my gift. I was only 5, why do i need to receive my gift so early? 

i got out of bed, getting out of my sleepwear to put on my formal wear. slipping on my shoes I left my room.

i immediately went to antonios new door. i opened the door to see a beautiful scenery that represented a rain forest, there was a waterfall. a huge treehouse to! i was in awe. its like im now just seeing his room. 

getting out of my awe, i screamed. ' Antonio!! Are you up?! '

my voice echoed threw-out the room. waking up most of the animals gathered in antonios room.

' YES? '

there was a voice from the treehouse, most likely antonios.

' HURRY HURRY AND GET DOWN HERE! TODAY IS THE DAY I GET MY GIFT! '

' I KNOW! '

' I'LL WAIT FOR YOU OUTSIDE! ' 

i left his door to wait, a few minutes later he came out his room.

' Hello Antonio! '

' hello Y/N ! im glad today is the day you are going to get your gift! '

' im not as glad, I dont wanna go out infront of the whole Encanto!  what if i mess up?! what would happen then? i might not even receive a gift like sister Mirabel?! '

' dont worry that wont happen! its only happened once, which was sister Mirabel. Your gonna get your Gift! '

' ehhh... maybe your right, BUT WHAT IF I MESS UP?!?! '

' you wont mess up. dont worry, sister Mirabel helped me when i got my gift, you can ask her if she can help you when you get your gift. '

' but im still so scareddddd... '

Antonio sighed, before saying. ' your going to be fine, lets go before we're late to breakfast! '

we rushed down the stairs and into the dining room, i hopped into my seat. devouring the food in minutes.

' ahem. '

i focused my eyes on Abuela like the rest of the family. 

' Today is the day that Y/N receives their gift. We need to have this night be perfect. '

I silently gurgled down the orange juice like a madman.

it was only a few minutes before the village came to the house. 

' Mirabel! Mirabel! '

' Hi Y/N! need anything? '

' yes yes, im scared to go out infront of so many people! '

' dont worry, its going to be alright! '

' but what if i dont receive a gift like you did?! '

' ...that wont happen! i swear '

' you sureeeeee '

' yes im very sureeee! '

' you sureeee sureeee? '

' pinky promise. '

' pinky promise! '

everyone was at the house now. its time i had to receive my blessing. 

i looked at everyone, nervous. 

I stood there for a good 4 minutes before building up the confidence to walk forward up to Abuela.

i walked up the stairs, soon appearing infront of Abuela.

i gulped.

I held the candle that Abuela was holding.

(im not sure if Abuela speaks when someone is receiving their power.)

(oh and a reminder your in love with the sea.)

I let go of the candle to look at my door.

You have no idea how much i was praying that i get a gift.

I walked up to the door, putting my hand on the door-knob.

suddenly, i heard the seas in my ears. and im pretty sure there were a few seagulls flying right at me, landing on my  shoulders.

' huh? wow! ' I said in awe. soon a few more seagulls landed near my feet.

' woah! '

when i looked at the door, it soon started to transform into a carving of me with sea related things around me. and right on top of the carving was my name. Y/N.

' ...We have a new (whatever she said here) '

the village cheered in excitement.

I opened my door, to see the most beautiful thing i could ever imagine.

' woah! '

' ITS EVEN BIGGER?! 'one of the kids said.

my bed seemed to be located near the plants, hidden away. it was tied onto a tree, the bed looked very comfy, but it could wait. now is a time for celebration.

the seagulls that constantly followed me chirped to the beat.

we all danced.
