chapter 1

A mermaid was swimming in the vast ocean, she smiled and waved at a group of fish that were swimming next to her.

She then swim to her house, which is the most in the vast ocean.

She saw her members was busy with their works.

She decided to not bothering them and plans to go over the sea, to observe the humans up there.

She reached there and quickly hid behind some large rocks to see the humans activity there as always she do.

She smiling seeing humans at there. "How I wish I can life like them." she whisper to herself.

"Hey Yuri." the mermaid―Yuri startled and she turn around. Her friend, Jisun was looking at her and lean closer.

"What are you doing here?" ask Jisun. Yuri sigh.

"As always, unnie." Jisun rolled her eyes and also looking at what Yuri looked.

"You always doing this everyday, Yul. Did you didn't get bored? What did you found humans is so fun?"

asked Jisun curiously. Yuri smiles.

"I don't know too, unnie. But I like how their's life. They seems have no problems not like us. And they have a legs too. Seems fun."

Jisun looked at Yuri weirdly but then she laughed softly. Yuri turn to her bestfriend.

"Why did you laugh?" ask Yuri.

"So, you didn't know huh?"

"Know what?"

Jisun shook her head. "We also can be like human, Yuri. We also can have a legs if we at the land. Our tail will changed into a legs."

Yuri shocked and smiled happily. "Really? So I can go there?"

Jisun shook her head seriously make Yuri's smiled faded.

"Ehh? But why?"

"If you go up there, your heart will turn hard as stone. You can die easily Yuri. The only way to keep your heart beating, you have to make sure the people up there fall in love with you. Only then will your heart keep beating for life. So in conclusion, you have to fall in love with a human and that human also needs to fall in love with you. You can't go ashore at will without this knowledge, Yul. You must know."

Jisun explained to Yuri make Yuri shut her mouth up. Jisun smiled warmly.

"But that's nonsense, Yuri. Mermaid cannot be in love with humans. They are different with us."

added Jisun. After that, she leave Yuri alone.

Yuri sighed heavily and she turn back to looked at humans.

Slowly, she get into the ocean back and swim to her place.

A girl with blonde hair walking out from the cafe with weak steps. She sigh heavily and lift her head up, looking at the sky.

Suddenly, her tears fall down on her cheeks. She start to crying so hard.

"Choi Yena.. You are so dumb.. So dumb!" she smack her head loudly for multiple times.

The girl named Yena still crying and she still walking until she reached at the ocean.

Tonight was so beautiful. But her life is not that beautiful.

Yena lowered her head, she sobs. "Why did you do this to me? W-What's my fault? What did I-I do until you treat me like this?"

asked Yena to herself. She wipe her tears away but still it falling down on her cheeks.

Yena look at her view. "I don't want to live anymore." she added and walked into the ocean.

Without realized, now she already in the sea, walking more into the sea until her body now was wet.

Yena close her eyes and she drowned in the ocean.

YURI was swimming in the ocean peacefully and sometimes she play with herself.

Seeing humans at night must be so fun right? What if I go up there to check up for humans?

Suddenly that idea coming into her mind. She smiled and quickly swim up there.

When she reached there, she was sad because she can't see humans up there. Yuri look around her and suddenly she saw a girl who was crying alone.

Yuri hid behind the rocks. "Why did she crying alone at this night? Poor her." said Yuri sadly.

Yuri keep staring at the girl. She don't know why but the girl grabbed her attention.

All of a sudden, the girl walking straight into the ocean make Yuri shocked.

"W-Wait.. She won't kill herself right? She won't do that am I right?"

Yuri tried to calm down but then the girl finally drowned into the ocean. "Oh shit!" Yuri cursed.

Quickly, she swim into the ocean to saved that girl. Yuri searching for that girl and finally she saw a blonde hair girl.

Yuri quickly go to her and grabbed her hand. The girl seems already fainted.

Yuri pulled her into up there. She saw no one was at there so she pulled the girl until the girl lay on the sand.

Yuri stares at the girl, she realized the girl was so beautiful.

"You are beautiful." comment Yuri as she softly smiled. And then she held her chest. Yuri continue to look at the girl.

"Why my heart beat fast for you? No... I cannot fall in love with you right? We are different."

Yuri added. She held the girl's face and caressing it gently.

"Next time, be careful girl. Don't easily kill yourself because you have a more better life. Forget what happen to you and start a new life."

Yuri said to her even she don't know if the girl listen or not.

Yuri then leave the girl alone. She swimming back to her place, leaving the girl that she don't know who is she.
