chapter 8

Yuri look outside of the window, she raised her brow when saw a house beside her. She then turn to Yena.

"Unnie. Who's house is this? Why did you bring me here?" asked her confusedly but Yena just smiles.

"You will know later. Let's go now." said Yena as she get out from the car, leaving Yuri alone.

Yuri was dumbfounded. At the end, she just following Yena with go out from the car and walked to the older.

Yena turn to Yuri. And then, she show her hand to Yuri. "Let's go?"

Yuri look at Yena's hand. Slowly, she grabbed the hand that made Yena smiled wider.

"Let's go." answer Yuri and Yena lead them inside the house. "I'm coming!" Yena shouted not too loud.

After that, an old woman comes from the kitchen and smiling to them. "Ahh Yena yah. Finally you are coming." Yena loosening her grip on Yuri's, she run to the old woman and hugged her tight.

"I miss you."say Yena and the old woman chuckles. "I miss you too." reply her and they broke the hugged.

"Where is dad?" asked Yena while looking around her. "He's at his usual place. I will call her." Yena nodded and the old woman left them.

Yuri walked to Yena. "Who is her?" asked Yuri as she held Yena's arm, she felt scared. Yena chuckles.

"She's my mom." answer Yena and Yuri startled. "Your mom?" Yena nodded. "And my mom is calling my dad." added the older.

Yuri clear her throat. "I-I'm scared." Yena squeaked softly. "For what? They are not going to eat you, Yuri."

"Yeah I know that but I don't know what to talk or to say with your parents." Yena laughed softly. "Relax okay? Just stay with me."

Yuri nodded. After that, Yena's mom coming with her dad, Mr. Choi. Yena smiled wider. "Dad.. How are you?" ask Yena as she hugged the old man.

"I'm fine, Yena yah. How are you with Chaewon?" both Yena and Yuri gasped hearing that name.

"A-Ah.. Me and Chaewon already broke up, dad." Mr. Choi and Mrs. Choi shocked. They look at each other.

"Okay... I won't ask anything. And.. Who is this beautiful girl?" asked Mrs. Choi as she looked at Yuri who was hiding behind Yena.

Yena turn. "This is my friend. Jo Yuri. She want to accompany me here today." both her parents nodded.

"Are you okay if you guys lunch with us?" asked Mr. Choi to Yena and Yuri. Yena chuckles.

"Of course we are okay!" Yena answer happily. Yuri just smiling. "Okay then. How about.. Yuri? Can you help me?"

Yuri quickly nodded. "Sure, aunty." Mrs. Choi laugh. "Just call me mom. I already look at you as my daughter." Yuri shocked.

She look at Yena. Yena just shrugged her shoulder. Yuri clear her throat and smiled awkwardly. She nodded.

"Let's go." Mrs. Choi pulled Yuri's hand to go to the kitchen. Yuri followed. Yena and Mr. Choi sit in the living room, talking together.

"So, I never see her before." said Mr. Choi to her daughter. Yena nodded.

"Yeah.. Actually I found her three days ago at the ocean. She's alone and have nobody so I just let her follow me until we go home. Then, Eunbi unnie and Hyewon let her to stay with us."

Mr. Choi felt weird. "You found her at the ocean? With nobody?" Yena nodded.

"Yeah.. I felt more weird about her since she don't know what is Korean foods, she don't know what is cuddle, she don't know what is a phone and she also don't know what is an ice cream."

Yena told her dad make Mr. Choi feel more weird about Yuri. Yena sigh.

"Maybe her parents throw her when she was a baby or something like that. That's why she don't know all of that things." added Yena.

Mr. Choi also sigh. "Do you believe in mermaid?" asked him make Yena startled but then she laugh softly.

"Mermaid? Why suddenly you ask me that question?" asked Yena back. Mr. Choi squeaked.

"Yeah.. I'm just asking because my friend actually is a mermaid but she hide it from everyone." Yena jaw dropped.

"What? So mermaid is real?" Mr. Choi nodded. Yena gulped and she looked down.

S-So.. what I heard Yuri said is right.. S-She said she is a mermaid..

"HEY, Yena unnie. Are you okay?" asked Yuri when she saw Yena was quiet. Yena who was driving smiled fakely.

"Yeahh I'm okay." answer Yena simply. Yuri just nodded.

"By the way, your parents is so nice to me. I felt loved." Yuri compliment Yena make Yena chuckles softly.

"They always like that with my friends. Don't worry and just look at them as your parents." answer Yena gently.

Yuri smiled widely. "Thank you, unnie. Thank you so much." said Yuri and smiling sweetly to Yena.

Yena chuckles. "You are welcome." reply Yena and then they become silent. Yena actually still thinking about her conversation with her dad earlier.

Is that true Yuri is a mermaid? If that true, why she came at the land? She must want to search something. I have to know what is that.

EUNBI was watching tv alone. Hyewon already sleep in their room. She sigh and look at the clock.

"Where is them? I already said comeback before dinner. Now it's already 10.00 p.m." Eunbi mumbled.

Then, she heard the car's engine and she quickly stood up. Eunbi walked to the door and open it.

"Where did you two go?" asked Eunbi as she saw Yena out from the car.

Yena signal her to shut up. "We go to my parents house. Don't be mad. Now Yuri was sleeping." Eunbi rolled her eyes and nodded.

"Hurry up I will help you to open the door." Yena nodded and she bring Yuri like a bridal style. Eunbi help her.

They go to Yena's room and Eunbi help to open the door. Yena turn to Eunbi. "Thank you, unnie. Good night."

Eunbi smiled. "Goodnight too." and she left the room.

Yena closed the door using her leg. She then put Yuri on her bed. After that, she stares to Yuri.

"Is that true you are a mermaid?" Yena asked as she look at Yuri's beautiful face.

Suddenly, her heart beat fast and Yena quicky looked away.

Shit! What is this feeling?! This feeling always for Chaewon but why now with her?

Yena sigh and she put her hands at Yuri's forehead. "Goodnight, Yuri." said Yena and she smiled.

After that, she go to the bathroom to brush her teeth and wash her face. Then, she lay on her bed and close the lamps.
