We fly high over Shield headquarters and we arrive at the Avengers compound in ten minutes! We land and dad has a fancy system that removes our suits for us! We are all set up and I go straight to my room so no one sees me.

I watch out of my window as the Quinjet lands an hour later. I smile and I watch as everyone gets off. I can tell that they aren't happy. Wanda runs into the compound and based on what I know from my the Avengers arriving after rough missions, Wanda is going straight to her floor. Sure enough, two minutes later, I hear a door slam. Oof. Definitely a rough mission.

I hear the elevator ding on my floor and I peek into the hallway and I spot my mom. I run out of my room and I almost knock her over when I run to her and hug her. "Hi, Madison!" says my mom. "Hi, mom!" I say. She smiles "I missed you!" I say. "Missed you too, sweetie," says my mom. I smile and she goes to shower while I pace my bedroom. I hear a knock on my door twenty minutes later and I open the door to let my mom in. We sit on my bed and I ask her a few questions about the mission. Then she changes the subject and asks me what I did. "I looked at you and dad's files and any others that caught my eye, I trained, I drew, I snuck around, you know all the usual stuff," I say. My mom smiles.

My dad walks in and my parents brief me on how they're going to introduce me. They really need to introduce me today considering everyone including me will be stuck here for a while given the Lagos circumstances.

We walk into the elevator and we go down to the main area which is where the kitchen and the living room are. I'm nervous but I make sure my parents can't tell. We arrive in the living room and I hide behind my parents as we talked about. Even Wanda is downstairs sitting on the couch fiddling with her rings. Wanda, Steve, Sam, Rhodey, and Vision are the only other ones here since Clint retired and Thor and Bruce are who knows where.

"Nat, Tony," says Steve nodding to my parents. "Wait a second. Who's behind you two?" says Rhodey. I go tense. Here we go. "Well, funny story," says my dad. "Well, go on then!" says Sam. "Nat and I met a long time ago and we fell in love and well, Nat you wanna finish," says my dad. "Sure. We had a daughter," says my mom. "No way! Nat, I thought you were sterilized!" says Steve. "Somehow I was able to have a kid," says my mom, shrugging. "Is that who's behind you?" asks Sam. My parents part like the Red Sea, revealing me. "Hi," I say softly. "She's adorable," says Wanda softly. I can tell that she's kind of out of it. Lagos must have been really bad. I'll find out later on the news, I guess. "Wow, uh, hi," says Rhodey. I wave. "Hi, I'm Steve Rogers, Captain America," says Steve.
"I know exactly who you all are. Especially you, Capsicle," I say looking at my dad, who smirks. "What's her name?" asks Sam. "I'm Madison but you can call me Maddie or any other nickname that you come up with," I say. Then I add "As you all are probably aware, my dad comes up with all sorts of names so don't be surprised if he says something random and I respond to it," I say. Everyone laughs. "It's nice to meet you, Madison," says Vision. I nod to him. "Maddie, how old are you?" asks Wanda. "I'm six. I can't wait to be seven, though," I say. Nat laughs. "Why are you so excited to be seven?" asks Sam. "Because seven is when I get to work with guns and knives when I train my hand-to-hand combat," I say." "Yep! She's her mother's daughter," says Rhodey. I smile. "Thanks, Sour Patch," I say. "Well, looks like the double dose of sarcasm is definitely being put to use," says Sam. "You bet!" I say. Then I remain quiet for a few minutes while I think of a nickname for Sam and Vision. "You're thinking of a nickname for me, aren't you," says Sam. "Maybe I am. Maybe I'm not. You'll find out soon enough, big bird" I say. My parents are laughing and so am I when I see Sam's reaction. Everyone except for Vision is laughing because he's a synthezoid.

Hmm, maybe I'll call Vision a lollipop because he's a lot of different colors. No, that doesn't incorporate his powers. Toaster. He has a laser that can toast things. Perfect!

"Let me guess, the deafening silence was in place while you were thinking of more nicknames," says Sam. "You're catching on quite quickly. I like it!" I say.

Then I think of a name for Wanda. I don't like my dad's nickname for her. Little witch. Nope! I'll call Wanda "witchy" that'll be her new nickname. Wanda has her red powers making a little ball of energy and she's playing with it.

"Cool powers, witchy!" I say. "Thanks! I actually like that nickname! It's better than "little witch," says Wanda. I stick my tongue out at my dad who gives me his iconic eye roll. I roll my eyes back. "Maddie, where do you live? I've never seen you here before," says Steve. I look at my parents who nod. "I have a room on Nat's floor and I have a room at Shield headquarters. That's why you guys haven't seen me. I spend a lot of time at Shield headquarters while you guys are on missions or even here at the compound," I say. "Smart," says Rhodey as he looks at my parents.

I spend some time with the Avengers while they get to know me. After a few hours of getting to know me, Steve says "Sounds like you're the perfect mixture of your parents. Especially the sarcasm. You definitely have a double dose of that." "Thank you," I say smiling. Then I add "Alright, well, I'm sure you all have work to do so, see ya! Mom, you'll know where to find me." Then I do a cartwheel out of the living room and I take the elevator to my room.

I pull out some technology stuff and I work on a few things. I'm making myself a smartwatch with all of the features I can possibly fit onto it. I have the watch done I just need to upload all of the features. Of course, my dad had some helpful improvements on the design. My watch has some special technology that my dad designed which can have my suit that my dad made me form around me at any given time. I made sure to install Friday into the watch. I finish uploading everything an hour later and I go downstairs to my dad's lab so he can check things over.

I walk in and he's looking at a pinboard with lots of different scientific and mathematical equations which help him make his new tech and suits. The board has three trails of different colored strings. Red, green, and yellow. There's only red on the board. The other two colors are on their rolls pegged to the board. "What do the different color strings mean?" I ask. "Green is solved, yellow is undetermined, and red is unsolved," says my dad. "You only have red on the board," I say. "Yes. I'm aware. Thank you for that," says my dad and we share a laugh. "I finished uploading everything to the watch! Can you check it over?" I say. My dad smiles and holds out his hand. I hand him the watch and he checks for viruses and other malfunctions. After thirty minutes he says "All good! Great work, kiddo!" "Thanks!" I say as I put the watch on. Then I leave him to continue working and I go find my mom.

I find her in the training room as usual and I show her my watch when she takes a break. "Wow! That's incredible! Great job, sweetie!" says my mom. I smile and I show her a few features before I go up to my room and play with all of the features.

The features are; coding/decoding, hacking, texting, calling, emailing, holograms, Friday, games, summoning my suit and putting it on me, comms, calculator, recording system, music, telling time, time zones, locator, electric shock, flashlight, social media, news, compass, travel distance, steps, language translation, calendar, health levels, injury detector, photos, videos, and memory player. Friday has voice activation and she can open all of the features. Of course, my dad helped me design a lot of these since I'm six, but I made a lot of them and the majority of them were my idea! The watch is the size of a 44 mm Apple Watch. It even looks the same. The biggest difference is that features are higher tech in my watch.

I play around with my watch for a while testing out all of its features. I turn on the TV in my bedroom and I put the news on. I see footage of the Lagos mission and the building blowing up. I see Wanda using her powers to stop Rumlow from killing Steve and countless civilians on the ground. She loses control of her powers and she throws an on-fire Rumlow into the building next to her. Oof. I also see footage of my mom fighting and I smile. My mom is amazing! I love watching her fight especially when she does flips and gymnastics. Her hand-to-hand combat is one of my favorite methods that she uses. After hearing what the news anchors say, I feel really bad for Wanda since she is taking all of the blame for this. I saw the footage and it wasn't really her fault. I just can't prove it since I wasn't there.
