𝐴𝑔𝑒 - 17
I climbed over the ledge on top of the building we were all now standing on. The sky was a perfect blue filled with various size clouds. The air was fresh and easy to breathe.
We felt the roof beneath us shake a bit causing us to look back. A huge blimp went right over our heads. We watched it soar across the city of Piltover.
"One day, I'm gonna ride in one of those things", Powder declared. "And on day, I'm gonna shoot one of 'em down", Mylo added raising his aim imitating a gun shooting at the blimp. Vi shoved passed him walking closer towards the edge.
"Vi, are you sure about this", Claggor asked. "Look, if we get caught, we're-We're not gonna get caught", Claggor tried to warn only for Vi to cut him off. We all walked alongside the roof to jump onto another one nearby.
"We'll be in and out before anyone notices", she said. We stopped at a spot looking down the side of a roof.
"All right everybody, follow me", she said. "Just don't look down", she added then slid down the side. The small ledge stopped her from falling down all the way. She used the ledge to jump onto the side of the roof that was outstretched on a small balcony. She lowered herself onto the balcony's railing and climbed down it to cling to the side. She then turned around using her one hand to keep her grip on the failing. Lastly, she launched herself off it landing on the roof across from her.
I imitated her movements landing right next to her, but much more gracefully. I stood straight back up facing her. She gave me a quick smile then looked back at the others. Mylo imitated her perfectly and so did Claggor. He was licking his fingers since he snagged a couple of cupcakes from the balcony.
"Couldn't we at least just walked there", he complained. "Gotta stay out of sight for this one", Vi replied then looked at Powder who remained frozen on the roof across from us. Powder was staring down at the ground below, fear in her eyes.
"Called it", Mylo commented. I smacked him upside his head making me fall forward slightly. "Seriously", he snapped at me rubbing the back of his head.
"I'll get her", Claggor said. "No", Vi ordered stopping him. "Powder look at me", Vi called out to her. "What did I tell you", Vi asked. "That...I'm ready", Powder answered. "That's right! So", Vi asked. Powder took a deep breath in then out. She slid down the side. The small ledge stopped her from falling down all the way just like how Vi did. She used the ledge to jump onto the side of the roof that was outstretched on a small balcony. She lowered herself onto the balcony's railing. She let out a loud sight of relief that she made it that far. She then turned around using her one hand to keep her grip on the failing. Lastly, she launched herself off it landing on the roof across from her. Powder landed on her feet, but then started to fall back. Vi grabbed her wrist holding her up.
"Thanks", Powder sighed as Vi pulled her back up. We all started to walk up the roof we were on. After a while we finally made it to the house we were robbing. We all climbed onto the balcony. Mylo grabbed the door handle only for it to be locked. He stopped down while pulling out his lockpick tool. He began fumbling with the lock the best he could.
"There's tons of enforcers down there", Claggor stated while looking over. "It means we're in the right place", Vi replied looking around.
"You gonna get that door open anytime soon", Vi asked. "Working on it", Mylo replied. "Seeing as I'm the only one who knows how to pick locks I suggest-", Mylo tried to say, but Vi cut him off by kicking the door open. We all walked past him into the home we we're robbing.
The place looked like the home of an inventor. Tools and machinery lied everywhere in the room. Books covered one of the walls of the room.
"You know Claggor for once you're right", Mylo said. "We are definitely not supposed to be here", he added. I rolled my eyes at his comment as I entered the hallway. I turned left to walk further down. There was a doorway to another room. This one was filled with books and other stuff. I grabbed one of the books looking over the spine of it. It said it was a limited edition so it must cost some money. I grabbed a couple of them then headed back to where most of our group were. Mylo noticed me entering the room.
"Books seriously", he asked. "It's limited edition books people would pay big money for it", I explained stuffing the books into the bag. "Of course you would say that oh wisdom one", Mylo joked making me roll my eyes. I wet to say something, but stopped when I heard footsteps from outside the door.
"Mylo door", I ordered. Mylo grabbed the chair near him and rushed towards the door. He shoved it up against the door handle stopping the person from getting in. I climbed out of the window along with Claggor and Mylo.We stood on the balcony waiting for Vi and Powder. Powder came out, but Vi still rushed to gather more stuff.
"Vi we need to go", I ushered. "We'll be fine all you just get on the room", she replied. We were about to try to get back on, but suddenly an explosion happened in the room we were just in. Vi luckily dodged it, but it broke some of the balcony flooring. The balcony flooring fell right onto the streets, possibly killing people. An alarm began to go off causing us to climbed down the side of the building and run away as quickly as we could. The enforcers wer eight on our tails. They threw weird machinery at us, but we dodged it easily. We were on a drawbridge as it began to slowly raise up. We picked up the speed slightly and leapt over the growing crack. The enforcers were still chasing us.
"THIS WAY", Vi shouted making a sharp turn down an alleyway. We crashed into a wall then ran straight down another alleyway. Vi hit some kind of pipe making it release a bunch of air fogging up the alleyway we were in. The fog hid us letting us turn down an alleyway without the enforcers seeing us. Viforced the opening of a sewer open, it stinks of shit and piss.
"Not again I just got this shirt-", Mylo tried to complain, but she kicked him in his back sending him down into the pipe. I went in after Claggor. The smell made me gag slightly as I slid down the through the shit covered tunnel. I landed on top of a pile of trash and mechanical parts. Vi landed behind me her foot kicked me right in the back of my head. "SHIT", I groaned gripping my head then looked back at her.
"Sorry", she said wiping her arm off. "I thought the last time was the last time we were gonna do this", Mylo asked picking something out of his hair. "Well, this time's the last time", Vi answered. "Guys what was that? What the hell happened back there", Claggor asked.
We all looked right at Powder.
"I don't know, I didn't do anything", Powder replied. "You could fill a damn library with all the things you didn't do", Mylo snapped. "Guys, we just emptied a Piltover penthouse right under the enforcers' noses", Vi stated standing up. "So, if you're done beating yourselves up. Let's get this home", Vi asked throwing the sack over her shoulder. Vi stepped down towards where I was sitting and held a hand out towards me. I looked up at her then grabbed it letting her pull me up. We all then got off the pile and began looking for an exit out of the sewers.
