On the old man's eighty-year birthday, the family was lively all day. However, the bustle and bustle return, and the younger generation in the family are also tired after being busy all day.

When the guests left in the evening, Xu Baoru was so tired that he was not energetic at all. He went upstairs to rest at half past nine.

Shen Du helped to see off the guests. By the time the guests were finished, it was almost eleven o'clock when he came back.

He didn't see Xu Baoru in the yard or living room, and asked Xu's mother, "Auntie, where is Baoru?"

Xu's mother was cleaning up the coffee table and straightened up and said, "She's upstairs. She seems a little tired. Go and have a look."

Shen Du nodded, turned around and went upstairs.

Xu Baoru's room was in the one near the end of the corridor on the third floor. The door was locked, and Shen Du raised his hand and knocked on the lower door.

Xu Baoru lay on the bed, and his voice was a little weak. "Who?"

Shen Du: "I."

Xu Baoru heard Shen Du's voice, so he got out of bed, put on his slippers and walked to the door to open the door.

As soon as the door opened, Shen Du saw Xu Baoru's pale face. He immediately frowned and raised his hand to touch her forehead. "What's the matter? What's wrong?"

"It's okay." Xu Baoru took Shen Du's hand, went back to bed and lay down. He said weakly, "I'm on my period. It hurts a little."

Shen Du went to the bedside and sat down. He took Xu Baoru's hand and touched it. It was very cold.

He frowned suddenly, "When did he come? Does it hurt a lot?"

Xu Baoru looked at Shen Du with a pale face and nodded pitifully, "It hurts."

Shen Du frowned tightly and felt very sad. He turned to get the water glass from the bedside table and found that the water in the cup was cold. He asked, "Do you have any painkillers?"

Xu Baoru shook his head and said, "No, I just looked for it."

Shen Du frowned and said, "Why don't you call me?"

He picked up the cup and walked downstairs, saying, "Wait for me."

Shen Du went downstairs and made a cup of warm brown sugar and ginger water for Xu Baoru. He didn't have time to boil it, so he had to warm Xu Baoru's stomach first.

He went upstairs with a water glass, helped Xu Baoru up, and watched her drink the water slowly.

He asked, "Are you better?"

Xu Baoru nodded and said, "Warm up."

She drank the water obediently and handed the cup to Shen Du. Shen Du took the cup, put it on the bedside table, helped Xu Baoru lie down, pulled the quilt to cover her, and whispered, "Sleep for a while, and I'll buy you medicine."

Xu Baoru looked at Shen Du. Because of drinking hot water, his face finally turned a little bloody. She stretched out a small hand from the quilt and gently took Shen Du's hand. Her eyes were dark, like beautiful black pearls. She whispered, "Then you come back early."

Shen Du said "um", leaned over Xu Baoru's forehead and kissed, "I'll be back soon."

Xu Baoru nodded and remembered something. He said to Shen Du, "Then you come back and bring me a pack of safety pants. I want to wear that to sleep better."

Shen Du said "Uh-huh" and said, "I see."

Shen Du drove out, went to the nearest pharmacy to buy painkillers and warm palace stickers for Xu Baoru, and stopped by the convenience store to buy two packs of tampon safety pants for Xu Baoru.
