How long have we been flying? The question kept spinning in Tides' mind. He kept telling himself they'll find out soon enough, but he thought Drought would be the one to say that, not himself.

"Tide, where are we going? We've been flying for ages!" Coast whispered.

Every dragon was dead silent ever since Heatwave started leading them to who knows where. Hearing a voice after a while of silence seemed unnatural. "I'm not sure, but my best guess is that were heading towards those mountains." He nodded his head to the direction of the mountains, only a few 10 miles away. They were slowly growing reasonably bigger.

"Why would we be heading there?!"

"Your guess is as good as mine." He shrugged.

...........................................................................

The sun faded down below the mountains, leaving only a shillouette of the mountains behind the biggest one.

Its beautiful! Tide stared at the yellow and purple sky and the silver clouds with them.

Suddenly, the group of dragons swerved down, making a small "wave" of dragons. Hesitantely, Tide and the others followed. They swerved around the trees, Heatwave still in the lead. Tide stretched his head over the dragons just in time to see Heatwave's bright scales disappear into a cave.

"Tide." Coast stuttered. "I'm not so sure about this."

"Me neither," Drought sped up and dove into it after them. "Drought, however, thinks otherwise. If heisnt worried, neither am I." He dipped in after Drought, feeling an unusual cold go over him. A light shown from a corner, and Tide turned towards it. "To the light." He notified the others.

As he drew closer, he noticed movement. Then a burst of fire and the whole group was visible. Heatwave was nowhere to be seen, but Tide spotted Rise. She was lighting the fire, apperantly. Using he fire to light a big stack of hay, sticks and dry grass.

Tide landed and the others' landed with him. "What's this?" Tide questioned, edging closer to the fire. He saw a few SkyWings already lying down, soaking in the warmth as well as the SandWings.

"Don't know, Heatwave just said to wait here, and he will send dragons to bring us to the next competition..." She sat and shrugged staring into the fire.

"What's with all this, mystery?" Seabass said, unhappily. He yelped as a spark popped and landed next to his talon. Snickering, Rise replied, "As I said. I'm not sure, he just disappeared."

"Well, we might as well just enjoy the heat, right?" Drought spoke as he lied down next to the fire.

"Yeah, I guess so." Tide said hesitantely as he noticed the heat from the fire. He looked around and saw a rock. He walked over to it and lied down next to it, perfect distance away from the fire. Coast did the same, lying on the cold, solid surface of the floor.

He closed his eyes and halfway went to sleep.

.............................................................................

Tide awoke when he heard a muffled cry, he opened his eyes, not moving his body. A tail flicked out of sight as he looked at the shadows.

There was silence.

Then, right when he set his eyes upon a SandWing, he saw talons pull him into the shadows. Tide only had time to see him wake up, terror in his eyes, as talons wrapped around his snout.

He heard scraping as it echoed the cave. It came clear and Tide couldn't think it was his own imagination. It was a dragon that was about to grab him and pull him into the darkness, possibly to kill him. He heard a tail slip across the rock, and as he saw talons reach over to grab his snout, he saw his chance to strike.

Tide moved out of the way and clamped down on its' arms.

The dragon muffled a cry of surprise and pain, realizing that this dragonet was fully aware of what was happening. He attempted to tackle the dragonet, but Tide was ready. He threw the dragon off and got up. He lit his patterns lightly.

"Don't you dare." The dragon whispered.

"Watch me." Tide replied as he started to light up his patterns. He was about to yell for the others to wake up, but something leaped on him and all the air he had immediately blew out as his face his the floor.

"You shouldnt have tried that, sonny." The dragon spoke. "We didn't want to do this." He said as something hard smacked Tide in the head, kocking him unconscious, and leaving him with a pain that he'll feel in the morning.
