I hope this works... Tide looked at Thorn, who was trembling in nervousness. He looked back, at the dragons behind him. Ifthisfails... what willbecomeofthem? He blinked off his worried look when he noticed Rise smiling at him, giving him a comforting nod. WhatamIthinking!? ThisHAStowork. He looked at Drought, who nodded. Tide nodded back, and Drought turned and flicked his barbed tail. The time has come. Two dragons suddenly bolted into echother, racing like they were still bloodthirsty. At this, the other dragons increased their speed, doing the same.

Tide looked ahead and saw Coast ushering Thorn to go faster. Cliffwater sped up, and so did Tide. Talons grabbed his tail, he looked back and saw a SandWing holding on, slowing him down. How could they notfall for this plan?! The SandWing winked at him, smiling happily. So, I was supposedtodo... THISHe flipped and swerved the SandWing off. The SandWing flipped himself like he was falling so it looked like Tide had clawed him in the snout
Immediately, Tide turned back, flapping hard, like he was about to die. When the sight of the borders became more clear, Tide grinned, this plan was brilliant! Cliffwater passed ahead of him, and other dragons tried too, but she smacked them out of the sky with her tail. He looked to his left, seeing Coast beneath him. He barely had time to notice the red scales smashing into him before he felt the searing pain of talons through his scales.  What I he doing!? He yowled and lashed at the SkyWing. Thiswasn'tpartoftheplan!

Horror soaked in to his scales when he realized who the dragon was.

It was the SkyWing that smacked him off the ledge when it first started.

The SkyWing grinned, as if he'd read his thoughts. "You." Tide spoke silently.

"Me." The wretched SkyWing peered into his eyes, showing no mercy.

Tide saw his moment. He flipped himself under the dragon, getting out of his grip. The startled SkyWing turned without hesitation, he hissed. Tide barely managed to flick his tail out of the way of the flames of the SkyWing. He flapped his wings harder then he'd ever flapped them before. With a jolt, Tide was pulled back. The SkyWing had grabbed his tail and started pulling him away from his friends. Who, Tide realized, were ahead only a few wingbeats, still following the plan. Didtheythinkthatthisissupposedtobepartoftheplan? His friends wouldn'tmostake this for something like that! He kicked his hind legs furiously, smacking his tail left and right, hoping to smack him in the head.

But he was too quick, and he dug his talons into his scales. Again. Tide roared with pain and frustration, flipping around to shake him off. He flew up, hoping the SkyWing would think he wasn't dong this on purpose. He flapped his wings with tremendous force, more force than he had ever done. The SkyWing must have figured out his plan, because he roared and hissed. Tide knew what was coming, the SkyWing was gong to burn him alive. He tried to squirm out of his grip but the SkyWing's grip was to strong. The slowed at he felt heat coming out, he had just enough time to turn and see the red in the SkyWing's throat. He closed his eyes, welcoming his end.

A force knocked them both over and Tide felt fire brush past him. He opened his eyes to see the SkyWing falling to the ground, clearly half concious. He looked up to find cliffwater , determination on her face. She looked down at him in her talons, and forced a smile. He smiled back, noticing she was flying to the clear lake, where the others were nearing. They were only a bit away, and Tide wondered why she didn't get closer.

"I-" he started. Cliffwater turned her attention to him. "I think I can fly from here, Cliffwater. Thanks." She hesitated for a moment, and then nodded. He opened his wings and flew out of her talons. He felt a bit of a scratch on his back, but he didn't think it was serious.

She nodded in a welcome manner, and flew ahead. The pain on Tide's back seemed to feel more serious, but he was still wondering if that SkyWing was all right. He felt guilty that he had fallen, possibly to his death. Yet he felt guilty for even feeling sorry for him, nonetheless the guilt itself. He shook his head to clear his thoughts and concentrated on getting to the pond.

When he caught up to the others, seeing that they followed through the plan pretty well -some dragons had scars across their snouts and an occasional burn mark here and there- they were only a few yards from the pond. They swooped down once they were in distance, and Tide felt even worse when he dived, following Cliffwater past the dragons, who where still shoving each other, maybe showing Heatwave that they were 'exhausted' or 'too wounded' to continue fighting.

When Tide landed beside Cliffwater, he noticed the SandWing was smirking, obviously because how many dragons were left.

Tide looked at him in disgust, and when Heatwave looked at him, Tide wasn't afraid to let it show. Heatwave made an evil looking smile, which made Tides skin under his scales shutter.

"Welcome back, dragons and dragonets." He glanced at Thorn. "And others." He mumbled.

The bidders could not contain their excitement, seeing them fight to the goal -or so they thought they were- seemed to thrill them. "It seems some of you." Heatwave examined the small crowd. "Didn't make it to the end." The dragons looked at each other. Was this a sign of, mercy perhaps? "It's a shame, that there won't be much of you to participate in the next part of the competition." He flicked his tail, as if wanting someone to protest so he had an excise to stab them with the barb.

"Ugh, stupid dragon." Tide muttered to himself.

Before turning to go - by the looks of it; to have a meeting with what seemed like the head bidders -  he turned with a cold stare. 'You may drink."

Immediately, the dragons shoved each other aside to gulp up the water. Tide flew up and landed besides Cliffwater, who was gulping down water as well. Her back scales seemed darker for a moment, but Tide paid no attention to it, he was too exhausted. When he drank, water was splashed and poured all over his back. He jumped up, turning to he Coast with a small cauldron that dripped laftover water. "What was that for!?" He flicked his tail in anger. Although his back scales felt so much better.

"You didn't notice!?" Coast scooped up another cup of water.

"Notice what?" He shuddered at the cold temperature of the water.

"You were burned on your back scales. What happened?"
