RHEA'S POV"Have you seen your big brother?" I slowly turned to a sulking Kendra, turning her smartphone down in annoyance. Her perfectly-shaped eyebrows were frowned together and her pink lips were pursed in impatience. "I've been calling him for like a hundred times but he's not picking up."
"I heard they have a gig today. The smugglerz's gig for their upcoming song release." I replied and suck on my strawberry drink.
It's our free time this hour and both of us decided to hang out outside the campus. It's been two days since the last time I met Jasper, right, I haven't seen him anywhere inside the campus. What a mysterious guy.
"But he should've called. He promised me." She stated in defeat before forcefully suck on her juice box. I just laughed at her.
"Is it that hard having a block headed-boyfriend?" I joked. "Besides, Vincent is a jerk. I wonder why you're together, he doesn't seem like a great man." I laughed after. Those words are just for fun, fun you know.
Well it's true. It's my first time to see my big brother so lovey-dovey to a girl. The last time he had a girlfriend was like four years ago in highschool. He was a fool, having two girlfriends at a time but Mom scolded him about it through a video call. If Vincent ever hurt Kendra, I swear I will kick him in the shin.
"You could say that but it's him who I fell in love with. I should say I really love him." Kendra replied with a determined expression. "To me, he's the most amazing guy in the campus."
I can feel the imaginary vomit coming out from my mouth in silliness. Love word sounds really weird coming out from Kendra's mouth about my stupid big brother. Loving and Vincent doesn't suit in one sentence after all. Fine, because he's my big brother and I just find him really, really weird.
"Does Vincent keep promises?" She asked after a long moment of silence. "He said we'll be going out on a date for this hour but what took him so long?" She muttered under her breath. Her frowning eyebrows made me worry about Vincent. I just can't stand seeing my friend like this when she's always by my side everytime I need her.
"Just wait for him. I'm sure he's making an amazing preparation for your date. He might even surprise you." I stated cheerfully to brighten up her mood. She smiled, showing off her teeth and nod at me in assurance.
"I'm counting on that. Anyways, have you seen Jasper?" she asked, changing the topic. "We didn't have the time to hang out with him last time."
"Let him be. We can't go around asking about Jasper. If I ever meet him again, I can express my gratitude better." I stated, smiling widely at her. I just can't go around looking for Jasper to thank him, I can't do it.
"He's hot, isn't he?" She playfully whispered, wriggling her eyebrows.
"Who?"
"Now, don't play dumb. Jasper Inferno who else?" she frowned again. "I hope you're not thinking about bastard Dave Kings." She acidly continued, stating Dave's name as if its a taboo in her mouth.
"O-Of course, I'm not!" I tried to hide my face but I knew she saw how I blushed about Dave's name being mentioned.
"Nice try but I will never accept Dave if he'll ever court you. A jerk like him and an angel like you doesn't look good together." She acidly continued and rolled her eyes.
I just stayed on my seat in defeat. I just wanted move on from my love to Dave but my heart just can't cooperate.
"Speaking of Dave, he's Vincent's band mate and I'm pretty sure they're together. Why don't we take a peek in the theatre?" Kendra suddenly smirked playfully. "Let's pretend as their supportive fonds so we can check on their newest song."
