Harry and I were deep in our conversation when, yet again, our compartment door slid open.

"Excuse me," a bushy haired girl appeared before us, "Have you seen a toad, a boy named
Neville's lost one."

"A..... toad?"  I asked hesitantly, "I don't think I have."

I glanced over at Harry, but he shook his head, I guess he hadn't seen one either.

"I could help you search for it," my eyes shone with anticipation, if I could find an excuse to leave the compartment, I could explore the train and meet other people!

"I'll go and help search for the toad," Harry spoke, "Rose, stay in the compartment and don't talk to strangers."

Just like that, my hopes of meeting new people came crashing down.  Why me?! I sobbed dramatically inside my head.

"My names Hermione Granger," the girl stated, "And you are...?"

"I'm Harry," my brother replied, "and this is my sister Rose."

"A pleasure to meet your acquaintance," she smiled at us, giving us a clear view of her buckteeth.  "Have you heard that Harry Potter's on this train at this exact moment?  I'd imagine that he'll be very popular when we arrive at Hogwarts!"

"Is that so?"  Harry chuckled amusedly, no doubt enjoying the fact that she was complementing Harry Potter without even knowing that he was standing in front of her.

"Rose," Harry spoke sternly, well, as sternly as a twelve year old could sound, "Stay, and remember—"

"I know!" I chirped, "Don't talk to strangers."

Honestly! I swear Harry had somehow become an overprotective mother bear overnight!

~3rd person POV~

Rose Potter, as anyone could see, was very cross.  Not only had she been left all alone in her compartment, but all of the candy she and Harry had bought had been eaten!

"Why can't Harry be back already?!"  She wondered, speaking to herself, "It's getting soooooo boring all alone in this empty compartment."

Rose's gaze flickered past the countless trees outside the compartment window, resting her head against the icy cold window pane.

Her head jerked away from the glass as she heard a sharp knock.

"Excuse me," a voice questioned, "is there anyone in here?

"Uh-Yes!" Rose walked over to the compartment door

She slid open the door and came face to face with a platinum blond haired boy.

Locking eyes, the boy blushed a deep shade of scarlet red.

"I-uh hello!" He cleared his throat face growing redder by the second.

"Hello, are you looking for Harry Potter?"  Rose inquired.

He looked shocked and awed at the same time.

"How did you know!" He exclaimed.

Rose giggled at his surprised look, "A lot of people have come by asking the same question today!"

The boy blinked rapidly at her, "Is that so,". He quickly regained his regal composure, " My name is Draco Malfoy, heir to the most noble and ancient House of Malfoy, and I throughly apologize for my disruption of your time."

"Well it's a pleasure to meet your acquaintance Draco, my name is Rosaela Potter, but everyone calls me Rose." Rose copied his formal manner of speaking, letting a warm smile grace her lips.

Draco's eyes widened when he heard Rose's family name, "Not at all," he replied, "The pleasure is all mine."

Taking Rose's hand in his own, Draco brought it up to his lips and kissed it, causing Rose to turn an interesting shade of scarlet.

"Rose!  I found the toad that the boy Neville had lost—"

As Harry noticed Draco's lips on his sister's hands, and his face darkened.  Striding over to the duo, Harry gripped the back Draco's shirt, pulling him away from Rose.

"Pray tell just what you were doing?!"  Harry demanded, enraged.

"Why I have no idea what you're spouting," Draco mocked, "I was simply greeting the young lady."

Harry's eyes glinted dangerously at Draco's mockery and clenched his fists at his smirking face.

"Why you—"

"Hey! Cut it out you two!"  Rose cut Harry off before he could cuss at Draco.  "I'd appreciate it if you'd cease your fighting."

The two boys looked down sheepishly, occasionally sending sharp glares at each other. If looks could kill, they'd both already be dead.

"He's not a bad person Harry," a smile broke out across Rose's face, "Look! Psyche likes him!"

Harry glanced down to see Psyche rubbing against Draco's leg.

"Fine, but I still don't like him." Harry reluctantly spoke.

At his words, Rose's smile got even wider, stretching from ear to ear. At that moment, she truly looked dazzling, she looked so cheerful and bright that the two boys completely forgot about their recent argument.
