3rd pov:
"Yo!"
Sakara, who felt that now was a ok time to keep her sense of humor intact, greeted him as if nothing was wrong in the world despite still keeping Latio in her hold. Karlheinz met her gaze, holding it for a moment before looking down at Laito.
"Miss Haruno, if you would."
Sakara let Laito go and he quickly ran over to safety in numbers. The five of them gathered around each other with Yui behind them.
"I do believe you took it too far."
The staring contest between them went on as Sakara stood her ground.
"Truly? I do believe that I held back quite well."
"You might have held back but that does not mean that they could handle it. My children have special blood in them so I would appreciate it if you didn't maim them."
"Ara ara, my apologies. I thought that since they were your children that they would have had a sharpened kunai, but it appears that they only have dull ones. What a pity."
"Haha, yes indeed. However, they are like you said, still just children. Here I thought someone of your caliber would be more adaptable than this."
"Oh hohoho, in my village, children are cold blooded assassins that can kill without hesitation. They're about thirteen when they join what you would call the army. And yet these children are still incomptent at eighteen? Ara ara, I thought that the royal bloodline would be worth more than this."
Karlheinz grit his teeth at the blatant insults thrown at him.
"You were one of the elite of your village, yes? Did a dam perhaps overflow and cause an accident?"
"No, actually. We got our water from a lake that is nearby. Oh, please excuse my rudeness."
Reiji stared at the underlying insults and threats that went around. They were hard to translate, the malice was intertwined so deeply into them that to anyone who was any less than brilliant would think they were just speaking about how unprepared they were. Reiji knew better.
"Tch, what are' they talkin' bout? We don't have any kunai in the first place. The little knife things are kunai right?"
Ayato pointedly asked.
"They're in a battle of wits at the moment. I shall translate for all the imbeciles here."
"Hey!"
"Sakara first started talking about how we only had dull kunai, but that was a cover up to say that she finds us incomptent, all the while insulting our heritage."
Ayato, Laito, Subaru and Yui all looked stumped.
'How the hell did he get that?'
"I studied social educate and masked words are used quite commonly in high society. If you want to make it in the real world then you need to look at the hidden meaning. Anyways, that man went on to tell her that she lacks the flexibility to adapt to her surroundings, thus calling her incapable."
The four of them looked at Reiji as if he was crazy. There was no way that that was the true meaning to their conversation.
"Continuing on she replied with the fact that children from her village are strong compared to us even though we are older and have more experience. In toll, she called us weak and inexperienced compared to mear thirteen year old's."
By the end of his sentence he was gritting his teeth, trying to keep his voice steady and not lash out at the closest thing that moves. The brothers too were enraged, mineous Shu who couldn't care less about anything other than his fathers presence at the moment. Yui looked at the pinkette in surprise. Who knew that something like that could be hidden in a regular sentence. Sakara and Karlhinz were still bantering but now you could see lightning between them.
