My body moved to the music as I made faces at Mia. She laughed as she downed a shot and started twirling around blowing kisses my way. I pretended to be disgusted and laughed as she bumped into someone while coming for me. I silently watched as she introduced herself to the woman and took the offered shot before motioning her to the dance floor.

I wiggled my eyebrows at her as I backed away and made my way to the bar, sitting and ordering 5 shots. I threw back my head as each shot flowed down my throat and slammed my hands on the counter as I finished them.

"Wow, you really know how to drink."

I spun around as I came face to face with him and exclaimed as I leaned back. "Woah, did not expect to see you again."

"Is that good or bad?"

"We'll let God decide, shot?" I asked calling over the bartender and ordering. "Sure miss...?"

"Valerie."

"Valerie, nice to finally get your name."

"Your welcome," I said handing him the shot and gulping down mine. I watched as he shook his head as his mouth tried to get used to the taste and lightly placed the glass down.

"If you don't drink why are you in a club?"

"I was hoping to see you again."

"Oh, well I'm sorry to disappoint, guess I didn't make it clear last time but I'm not interested in dating."

"Why? if I may ask."

"Because I don't believe in love." I chuckled as I saw his expression from the corner of my eye as he twirled the shot glass.

"I don't know, when everyone in your life tries so hard to get you in love and it never works out, you just stop believing that it's real," I said looking down at my lap. Maybe I was such a lost cause I was incapable of love.

"What if I can help you with that? Maybe not love but something a little better" I looked up at him and raised my eyebrow, giving him the "you know how many guys gave me that speech" look before shaking my head and pushing a strand of hair from my face.

I looked on the bar table as he slid a card over to me and got up. I grabbed it and stared at the number on it before looking up at him.

"If you think about it, call me, or you can come by my workplace." He said as he closed his button and got up from the chair, just in time for Mia to come in panting.

"Ok, that girl can dance, and who was that? Don't think I didn't see you getting all buddy-buddy just now."

"It's just some guy, don't worry about it, but what we are gonna talk about is that girl you just danced with," I said as I watched her blush while turning the card in my hand and smiling.
