had laid before

we did say how much a star could tell
but not the way the river is calm or sway.
we did smile at the moon consorting with latter until the last second farewell,
but not with the sand,
unseen its suffering and longings.
we did blame the heat paining at our back,
for sweating bullets and dried gorge,
but ignored the story of wind,
how arrows poured off the door to green land.

we could completely see,
but chose to strip on an even way,
believed there was always tomorrow,
morning and night.
and earth rotated with expectations,
we danced yet again,
the beam with troupe of fireflies.
