6.Sick leave

I felt a wet sensation on my face and open my eyes to see Banker staring at me.

I had a great sleep.

I turned to the other side expecting Jared to be there but he was not. Wait a minute, banker goes for his morning walk. what is he doing here? Did Alfred forgot to let him out or am I late? I jumped of the bed and ran down the hall to the stair case and slid down the railing landing perfectly.

"What are you doing! How many times have I told you not to come to the living room in half cloths" Mom shouted. Oh! I forgot I was just wearing a long t-shirt and panties. Don't judge! Whatever!!

"Aaa... Am I not late for school?" I asked confused.

"The Doctor told you to have a rest for this week and go to school from next week" said Jared.

"Then why are you home?" I asked mockingly.

"What, I am your brother! That's why" He answered rolling his eyes.

"OHHH! So, you're playing with my sick leave card?"

"You shouldn't waste your energy in such dumb things. Come and sit and eat. That should shut your mouth" he said.

"You are mean!" I said stomping my way to the counter and grabbed my orange juice glass. Good. He is acting the way he should. Or is it a false act

"Morning!" mom said.

"Morning" a reply came from behind me.

I turned around to see Lucie, our nanny. Lucie is mom's best friend and she is Alfred's wife. Yep, you don't have to guess. Lucie met Alfred through our mom and dad. They have a little cute daughter. Her name is Nixie and she does look like those little water fairies from fairytales.

"Hi Lucie" I said.

Lucie and Alfred live in a connected house to our house so whenever mom feels board you can find them together, talking about old people gossip.

Daisy and Nixie must have gone to school. While mom and Lucie and Jared talked, I walk in to the living room to find Iris playing with Banker. Banker is such a good boy. he was very care full with Iris and he was on full alert. whenever Iris seemed to slip her feet, He would catch her.

"Hey baby" I said sitting on the floor carpet.

"Roe... Come play! Banker is playing un and atchers with me" she said pronouncing all the words wrong. Wait, cunning girl she knows how to say Banker but not Rose. What a laugh.

I did not think not going to school would be this much boring!! I have been staying home for three days now and hopefully it will be the last day. I am never cutting school again!!!

You know Jared is a good partner for lots of things but not for watching movies. This is why I miss Sophie. She did call me twice and Mason about hundred times but I couldn't build up the courage to answer either of them.

So now I am on the couch with Jared sleeping on my lap. I was watching

Harry Shum Jr is the male leading actor and for the record he is hot as hell!!! But sadly, in the story he dies because of a cancer. You must be thinking I am crazy to watch things like this with my condition but I have been watching these kind of movies for past few days.

All those stories were nice and I ended up crying my eyes out but each story taught me something. That it is now or never. I have to take risks and do the things I want and enjoy my life and leave without regrets but after watching the Korean drama Doom at your service it hit me hard. That even though it is I am the one who will be leaving, people around me were suffering more. I get the feeling everyone is on edge and that they are trying to act normal as possible, knowing that I wouldn't like the extra attention. The drama shows it very well. How people around us suffer because of us.

Ding...dong...ding ...dong

I was pulled out of my miserable thoughts. Who the hell is visiting us in middle of the day.

Is it me or am I using the world hell too much? Is it a sign that I'll go to hell after I die??Whatever!!

I lift Jared's head off my lap and settled him on the couch and went to answer the door.

"Mom!!! someone's at the door" I shouted like a child asking permission to let a stranger in.

"I am in the toilet with Iris, can you check it out honey" mom replied.

So, I opened the door just as Jared came beside me rubbing his eyes in mid sleep.

"What the hell is wrong with you?" the new comer barked at me.
