18. The present

Everyone whooped and clapped. " let's make a wish." Jared scooped up the two girls and held them up to blow out the candles of their cakes.

"WOHOOO!" I cheered.

"Okay now sit down. its present time" mum interrupted the excitement.

Obviously, the gift from mom and dad is predictable when we were seven both of us got rose gold butterfly necklaces. It's kind of a tradition to receive something with the family.... what do you call it?... a logo? I don't know what ever it is called, it's a butterfly, a rose gold butterfly. It's a tradition that has been in the Madden family for a long time so my parents make sure to continue it.

"Um what's that?" Noah asked. I had no clue that he was standing to my right!

"Why do you care?" I tried to brush it off.

"Jeez. Do you have to light up like fire every time I ask you something?" He replied.

"Ah! Whatever. It's kind of like our family crest. Butterflies symbolize comfort, hope, and positivity and they say seeing pink butterflies are like an answer, God saying we will get what we want. So, to us it means that if we continue to have hope and be positive, we will always get what we want. "

"Wow!" Said Zack out of nowhere.

"Hmm... Did not think it would have that much of a meaning." Said Noah.

"Then you shouldn't have asked of it if you didn't expect it!" I replied annoyedly.

And for Nixie they got a baby blue polaroid camera which was so cute!

"Okay, make way!" I shouted.

"Your big bro and sis got the best gift ever like always!" I said proudly walking down to them. And handed them both white envelopes each. Which had a leaflet about how to take care of a horse.

"Hey, I used a bit of your money as well" I whispered to Jared.

" Yeah, I saw. It was not a bit!" He replied back.

"What did you get them?" Jared asked looking so curious.

"You'll see" I replied.

They opened the envelope and it took them a minute to understand what it was and suddenly started shouting.

"Rose, Jared you are not kidding right? asked Daisy.

Both of them came running to us. "THANKYOUUUUU!" They screamed.

"MUUUUUUUMMMMM, they bought us horses!!" Daisy and Nixie were so excited and they were running around so happily.

"What? Really, did you? When?" asked Jared.

"Yeah. They did cost a lot. I just bought them today as in on the way from the school to our place!"

Flash Back

"Oh, I remembered something! Let's go, there's nothing good here. Why did I even waste my time here?" I said.

"What you didn't get anything after coming here" Travis sounded annoyed.

"Apparently some creepy guys were looking at me so I couldn't think of anything" I replied.

"Can you stop at the Royal horse riding club, it's on the way to our house" I asked Noah.

"Yeah, sure it's not like I have a choice anyway." He replied.

The car stopped in front of the riding club Noah got out of the car with me.

"What you are coming again?" I asked.

"You don't have a say in that" he brushed off my protest.

"Anyways what are you going to buy here? A horse?" He scoffed.

I didn't laugh at the lame joke.

"What seriously came to buy a horse!!" He asked.

"Why else would I be here for" I asked.

"Guess this is how easy for a rich person to buy a horse. They would casually go to a place and ask for one. Sorry I asked because I can't relate" replied Noah sounding annoyed.
