The alarm clock rang. It read 5:00am. Marrinette sighed and forced herself to get out of bed. She slowly walked to the kitchen to grab a glass of water. It was quite. Almost too quite. She had for the past couple months been living in a villa on the outskirts of Paris. She had liked living with her parents and she loved the bakery with her whole heart. However, the villa had been a gift. Not from her parents of course. But from Adrien Agreste, her boyfriend. It was a very loving and amazing gift. But definitely over the top. The house had at one point been a guest house that the Agreste family owned. Marrinette didn't mind living on her own and it definitely made things with the alter ego a little easier to manage.
She grabbed a crossiant out of the box on the counter. Mrs Dupian-Cheng had given them to Ladybug and Chat Noir at the end of last night's patrol and Adrien had let her keep them.
It was time to start her day. Marrinette carefully went over the checklist for the day in her mind.

She sighed " the designs" she couldn't help but express her stress out loud. She knew she had to get them done and quick.
The past couple months ever since the original Hawkmoth had been arrested, no one knew what to expect with Sphinx. Well no one expected that Hawkmoth had been training someone to take his place. But sure enough be had and this student was good. Really good. She thought things through and is not near as rash as Hawkmoth was. She kept releasing akumas over and over. She had done so to slowly exhaust the the unstoppable duo of Ladybug and Chat Noir .
This was indeed was why Marrinette has been trying to complete 50 pieces and designs over the past 2 weeks. While she had lived at home she would often tell her parents that nights when she was leaving with Alya or Adrien were for her friends to model / help her with her designs. But instead they were out patrolling ,constantly. But she knew that that excuse wouldn't work when she was alone since it kinda required other people. So , instead she would tell them that she was going to work on set and cover designs for Jagged Stone. It wasn't a complete lie as she was working on designs for Jagged. However , that wasn't where she was usually headed.
Everything had gone fine until a few weeks ago Marrinette accidentally said something that contradicted one of the lies she had told. Quickly Mr and Mrs Dupian-Cheng got pretty suspicious.
They decided to call Jagged Stone's office. Luckily Luka agreed to cover for her. Largely exaggerating the hours Marrinette had been in his dad's office. She had slid under the radar. Barely.
Well until Marrinettes parents also asked to see all of the designs she had worked on over the past 5 months.
Now she had 2 days to finish up just about every design in her sketch book .
Marrinette was pulled out of her train of thought. She had managed to transform and make her way to the Effile Tower. As she looked down at her bug phone the time read.
