Just Different Time Zones

Reunited: Part 9

8:02 AM

Adrien climbed down the ladder and sealed the man hole above his head.

" Hold on! Wait for me! You don't know your way through the sewers." Adrien called after Midoriya.

" And you do? Why? Did I just follow a serial killer?" Midoriya said; he  tripped over nothing. He looked at Adrien and turned red out of embrassment.

" Oh goodness no, me and my girlfriend spend a lot of time down here. That's all." Adrien explained .

" Oh... in the sewers. Really, man? Does the smell really not bother you? I knew Europeans were more free with their bodies and sexuality. But really? Do you not have a bed?" Midoriya was clearly judging Adrien.

" Oh no, not, not that. We're just hiding. "  Adrien tried to clarify, but he couldn't hold back his laughter.

" Look, Mr Agresté, you guys do your thing." Midoriya tried his best to pull back his judgment. The guy had been very kind and patient to him.

Adrien chuckled ." So, what did you hit your head on? Did you pass out? Turn right." He was trying to assess Izuku's head injury.

As he turned the corner following Adrien's directions. Midoriya stopped for a moment he then bent down and puked against the wall.

" Woah, hey, you ok?" Adrien jogged to get to where Midoriya was. " Oh, God, that's unsavory." Adrien turned around to not see the vomiting man.

" Sorry, what did you say?" Midoriya said before being interrupted by having to vomit again. Once the puking stopped, Midoriya wiped the saliva off his lips . " Sorry,  it's really hard to hear over this stupid ringing noise. "

" I was just asking if you were OK. Did you say your ears are ringing?" Adrien made sure to speak up and speak clearly. He placed a hand on Midoriya's back and the other hand on his bicep to help steady Midoriya. 

" OK, your concussion is much worse than I thought. We need to meet up with Marrinette. The sooner, the better. She has all the first aid training. She'll assess your concussion."

Midoriya gave him a thumbs up, and he then covered his mouth while gulping back what Adrien assumed was more vomit.

" Alright, come on, big guy, let's get going ." Adrien said, stepping forward, still helping Midoriya with his balance.

8:09AM

The two men finally reached the last turn before being reunited with their beloved girlfriends. Adrien knew Marrinette was going to kill him for bringing a random civilian down here. But Adrien's thoughts had been so clouded by the panic of his in-danger girlfriend that he had forgotten to think about someone's bad intentions. He did it a lot. He blamed being so removed from other kids while growing up. He always had a really hard time with discernment and just believing people purposefully set out to cause harm.

Izuku had started walking on his own by the time they turned the corner. He heard Marrinette shreik, but that was quickly overshadowed by the brunette girl running full speed toward them.

"Deku!" She ran and jumped up to hug him. Which slightly knocked off his balance. " Don't you ever do some dumb shit like that again!" She punched his right arm. Hard.

" Adrien Agresté!" Adrien tensed up he knew his welcome wouldn't be near as warm. " You brought a stanger into the sewers?! Let alone a civilan?"Marrinette was fuming and reasonably so. This was extremely stupid and reckless of Adrien.

" I'm sorry! But he is her boyfriend, and truthfully, if they are lying about this universe suff, they are such nut balls. No one is going to believe them if they spill your identity." Adrien did his best to justify his actions.
