imagine: you and Loki get into a nasty argument, and as you're arguing you think he's going to hit you. (TW: mentions of abuse). - song: you broke me first - tate mcrae

   You and Loki never had a smooth relationship due to him being jealous of every guy that breathes around you. There would be small arguments here and there, but it never got physical or nasty. Today things would change.

"Y/N!" Loki's voice echoing through the castle walls. Your mood changed to the sudden noise."Your Highness, I will be right back." Frigga nodded as you let go of her hands. You walked down the hallway wondering why Loki was so agitated, but then you thought back to a couple hours ago when you and Thor were strolling around Asgard. 'Is that whats he's mad about? Again?' you thought. You reached the end of the hall, and there he was, his face calm, but has hints of annoyance. "What's wrong, my dear..?"  you questioned. "Why.. why were you with Thor, holding hands, laughing..? Hm?" he said right above a whisper. "Me and him were just taking a walk-" "WERE YOU NOW?! IT SURE DID NOT SEEM LIKE IT." he shouted as he cut you off. You have never seen him this mad, he sure was jealous of Thor. "Loki, we were not doing anything like what you think!" "OH REALLY? YOU GUYS GOT AWFULLY CLOSE!" he was almost yelling at this point, but you've had enough of his jealous acts towards Thor.

    You took a few steps further to him, and said these exact words; "Thor is my best friend. We all grew up together, played together, fought together. Do you not remember any of that..? (reference ;) )You being jealous like this is breaking us apart, Loki. You need to face it that I have friends as well. I let you hang out with other females, but you prevent me of seeing your BROTHER." you said as your voice was raising, "YOUR BROTHER. YOU NEED TO STOP BEING CHILDISH AND POSSESSIVE OF ME AND LET ME DO WHAT I FEEL LIKE! I GIVE YOU YOUR FREEDOM, YOU GIVE ME MINE. I'M DONE WITH YOU ACTING LIKE THIS. IT'S TOXIC, LOKI!! SO PLEASE.." you lowered your voice a bit, "Please let me be."

    He didn't stop yelling. You were so, so tired of all of this, so you just walked up to him and touched his arm. "Loki, please. Stop this." "Y/N.. you don't understand. I try so hard."  He flings his arm out of your grasp and lifts it up. You take it differently and shield yourself from him. "LOKI, LOKI PLEASE DON'T I'M SO SORRY! I DIDN'T WANT TO MAKE YOU DO THIS!" you shout. He lowers his arm and looks at you in pain. "W-What..? You thought I-"  he chokes up, "You thought I was going to h-hit you..?" he says as his voice cracks. "L-Loki wait..-" "Y/N what- what happened..? Are you scared of me? Please tell me.."  he was crying now, "Please.."  he begs.

    You tell him everything. Everything including your father being an alcoholic abuser, and how he used to abuse you and your mother. But once your father died because of his poor health, you and your mother both got a new house and you then walked outside with your mother when the Bifrost came, but nobody came out of it. You then tell him after a few seconds you both got sucked into the Bifrost and came face to face with Heimdall. That's when you got introduced to Thor and Loki but still confused. "Then it went from there when I met you both.. I'm so sorry Loki I don't want you to thin-" you got cut off as he pulled you into a hug. "No. stop apologizing. I'm the one who's sorry. I have been so selfish and possessive I didn't know it would get this bad. I never wanted this to happen. I'm so so sorry." he said apologetically as you were sobbing into his shoulder.

"I will protect you.. my love."
