Do they even want me back?

After so long alone, with Dream convincing him he was the only one there for him, Vil wasn't so sure anymore. But he went back to L'Manburg anyhow. He had to have some hope that his best friend still wanted him. After everything that had happened, he wasn't exactly happy with Tubbo, but he cared far too much about him to just write him off. He had to believe he was still wanted, needed.

Really, if Vil was honest, there was always something between the two of them that had always been left unsaid. Maybe because it would have been awkward, or because of politics, neither of them ever mentioned it. But he knew it was there, and he knew Tubbo knew, too. Now all he had to do was go back and hope that it was enough that Tubbo didn't hate him like Dream had told him. That was all he needed, really. Everyone else could hate him if they had to, he just needed this one thing to stay. Vil walked back into L'Manburg and did his best to say hello to the people he knew and gather information when he could. He had been isolated for so long, driving himself up the wall, that socializing didn't come the easiest to him, but he wanted to know what he had missed, so he tried to catch up. When he finally saw Tubbo, his eyes lit up. But when Tubbo's didn't, he shrank back a bit.

"So, big man, what did I miss?"

"Where do I even start bossman, you've been gone a while-"

Vil shot Tubbo a small glare.

As if that wasn't your fault.

"Well, I live in a new place called Snowchester now, that's pretty pog. Oh- and someone new moved in."

"Someone new?"

"Mhm! His name is Ranboo, he's part Enderman, he's really nice, very tall."

He softly laughed to himself a little before pausing.

"Actually we uh- we're married now-"

Vil paused, looking down at Tubbo, doing his best not to show his shock. He scoffed slightly, and turned his head away, looking up and away from Tubbo to hide his emotions from him. He fiddled with the edges of his trench coat anxiously as he responded.

"Married? You got married to someone while I was gone?"

"Well- yeah, I did, but-"

"No, no, I get it Tubs. Been a while anyways, figured I would miss a lot. Happy for ya big man, have fun in- Snowchester, you said? I'll see ya around, I guess."

Vil turned angrily, his coat flying behind him, and stormed off.

Dream was right. He doesn't want me. He sent me away, and then he fucking replaced me.

Tubbo watched Vil stomp off from him, and brought his hand up to the ring on his horn.

He's just jealous. This will keep them away from each other anyway.

Right?
