When the three reached their house Ambrose ushered for Arlen to unlock and open the door. "I have to let go of your hand, I'm not out to my mom yet." Ambrose whispered, Ross nodding and letting go.
"Mom we're home!" Arlen called as the three walked in, the two demons started taking off their shoes so Ross copied "Ambrose brought home a friend!"
"I know, he messaged me love. Your fathers here." their mom said walking out of the kitchen "Hello dear. I'm Christine."
"Hi." Ross smiled and waved "I'm Ross." He said placing his shoes on the shoe rack.
"Wait dads here?" Arlen asked his tail tip starting to wag slightly.
"Mhm, if you want to go talk to him he laid down for a nap in my room." She said "I'm making dinner, I hope you enjoy homemade beef stew. You're staying for dinner right?" She asks, Arlen smiles quickly heading up the stairs to see his dad.
"If its ok with you, I can. I'm allowed to go home at dark." He said, not specifying the time as he didn't want her to worry about him. "Beef stew sounds good to me."
"Alright. I'll call you boys down when its done." Christine said "You two can go hang out upstairs for now."
"Alright mom, thanks." Ambrose smiled gripping Ross' good wrist "Come on Ross." He spoke pulling Ross up the stairs and into his bedroom. The upstairs was large, bigger than Ross' house. There was three bedrooms which lead Ross to assume that Arlen and Ambrose had their own room and their parents shared. Looking around the room at the game and movie posters Ross chuckled.
"So you like video games and movies alot?" He asked curiously.
"Mhm, what else is there to do?" He joked "Do you like video games?"
"Yea, I do." Ross replied "I have a switch a home, I spoke of it earlier."
"Right! I remember." Ambrose nodded "You wanna play a few games?" He asks, Ross nodding.
"What do you have?"
"Hm.. Uh, I have it takes two, overcooked, minecraft." Ambrose said "Those are really my only multiplayer games. Arlen doesn't like to game so I haven't been able to play overcooked or it takes two, if you wanna start one of those games." He offered
"Sure, we can play it takes two." Ross smiled, sitting down onto Ambrose's bed. Ambrose smiled in reply setting up the game and controllers passing one to Ross and taking the other. The two played the game until Christine had called them down for dinner. Heading downstairs Ambrose scooped up his and Ross' bowl, handing it to Ross.
"We can eat upstairs tonight right mom?" Ambrose asked.
"Yep, You have a friend over, I don't mind just for tonight." She spoke with a curt nod afterwards. Ambrose ushered Ross to follow him as he made his way back upstairs sitting carefully on his bed to eat, Ross sitting at the desk in the corner to eat.
"So your mom lets you eat upstairs with friends over?" Ross asked curiously scooping a spoonful of stew and blowing on it to cool.
"Yep, especially if its the first time the friend is over. She doesn't want to make friend uncomfortable sitting around with a bunch of strangers. Right?" Ambrose said starting to eat the stew, not waiting for it to cool as the heat didn't affect nor bother him.
"Ah, I see." Ross nodded taking a bite of the stew "Mmmm.. This is good-!" Ross exclaimed shifting happily in his seat, starting to take more bites of the cooled food.
