𝐑𝐔𝐍. 𝐓𝐇𝐀𝐓'𝐒 𝐀𝐋𝐋 mind told her to do. The word echoing throughout her mind. She needed to find somewhere to hide out long enough for the boys chasing her to disappear. She had managed to use her magic to her advantage and had taken out the few boys in front of her. She then booked it out of the open area of the very vast jungle.
She smacked a branch out of her way, only for it to smack harshly against her back. She wanted to scream, but that would only give the savage boys her exact location. The fallen leaves and twigs crackled under her feet as they smacked against the mushy dirt. Her black curls whipping wildly behind her.
Katerina threw another branch out of her way. Her brain didn't register the slope behind the green and lively branch. Her foot miscalculated where exactly the ground was. Her body caved and tumbled down the rather large slope. Her arms coming up to protect her face from any harsh elements. Rocks and twigs tortured her as she endured her fall.
She had much luck when it came to fate. It always seemed to pick on her. Whether she was simply stealing another treat before bed or trying to pocket a nice bracelet at the marketplace karma always found her, one way or another.
Katerina met the white sand harshly. The soft compact under her making her landing much more painful than intended. A groan slipped from her lips as she lay, limbs sprawled out. Her hair flailed out around her, seeping into the harsh sand.
Pushing herself through the pain, she forced herself up. The world seemed to tilt and twirl as she tried to even out her vision. Her hand going up to cradle her head. Her hand felt a warm substance cake her fingers. Pulling it back into her line of fuzzy vision, she saw the scarlet covering the entirety of her digits.
"Well, that was quite amusing." The same British voice from early drawled on. Katerina whipped her head around with a scowl. The boy was stuffing his face, tauntingly, with some sort of bread, making her mouth water. It had been a while since her last meal, but she would have to make it work now that she was stuck on the island. Food seemed to be scarce she would have to train her body to survive the long time periods between each meal.
