Mi Seon's POV
"Alright, the bride will now toss her bouquet!" Chief Hong announces.
"Mi seon-ssi throw it to me, okay?" Ju ri begs me. "I want to marry JUNE Oppa! Orh! Please! Mi seon-ssi!" Ju ri begs. I laugh with amusement.
"Alright, I'll throw it towards the right. Make sure you stand there." I wink at her. Ju ri shows me a heart with her fingers.
"Alright, one, two, three!" I say excitedly as I release the bouquet. Hands reach out for it. The bouquet seems to soar through the air for a second.
Everyone laughs with amusement as it falls straight into Bo ra's hands. Bo ra looks up in confusion.
"What did I win? Omma, did I win something?" Bo ra asks her mom as she looks at the bouquet in her hands. Yun kyung smiles with adoration at Bo ra. Standing from the side, Il-jun clasps his hands together, as if making a wish.
Hye Jin's POV
"Please enjoy your food as we watch this adorable slideshow of our bride and groom." Du sik announces as a video montage plays across the screen. Du sik makes his way quickly back to the table and takes his seat next to me.
He greets me with a light kiss on the lips and a small stroke on my bump.
"You look so beautiful." He whispers to me.
"And you look so handsome." I smile back at him.
Il- jun comes to sit next to us with a troubled look on his face.
"Il-jun ah," I say, noticing the look on his face. "Are you alright? You look a bit down." I ask him.
"I'm okay, Dr Yoon. I'm sorry for troubling you. It's not that I'm upset or anything." Il-jun says in his usual polite voice.
"Are you sure Il-jun? Is the food not to your liking?" Du sik asks Il-jun, noticing his glum look as well.
"It's just... Well..." Il-jun rubs the back of his neck and sighs.
"What is it?" Du sik asks encouragingly.
"Samchun, how did you get Dr Yoon to like you?" Il jun suddenly asks Du sik and both Du sik and I look at Il-jun in surprise.
"What do you mean Il-jun?" I ask him.
Il-jun doesn't answer but the simple shift in his glance towards Bo ra is enough to give us a hint.
I look at Du sik and Du sik grins.
"I want Bo ra to be my best friend." Il-jun says.
"Il-jun ah," Du sik starts. "You and Bo ra hang out everyday, I'm sure you are best friends." Du sik says.
"Really?" Il-jun asks. "But Bo ra has so many other friends... I'm sure she'd rather have them as her best friend..." Il-jun sighs.
"But Il-jun, you see," I start. "Bo ra always shares her food with you, instead of the others. And she always only asks you to play claw machine with you, you know?" I encourage Il-jun.
Il-jun pauses for a second, pondering on our words and he suddenly brightens up.
"You really think so?" He asks.
"Of course." Du sik smiles at him.
"Hang on! I'll be right back!" Il-jun exclaims as he sprints off to where Bo ra is.
"Was he really talking about best friends, like platonic best friends?" Du sik whispers to me when Il-jun has ran off.
"Best friend was definitely a euphemism for boyfriend and girlfriend. But they're too young." I whisper back to Du sik as I spy on Il-jun who talks happily to Bo ra. "But definitely, someday." I grin.
Bo ra's POV
"Bo ra!" Il-jun calls me and I brighten up as he comes over.
"Il-jun! Have you tried the cake? The cake is really good. I really love the strawberry one!" I tell him.
"Oh no, I haven't tried it." Il-jun says.
"Here, try it." I tell him as I push a plate of cake to him. On the cake, the strawberry has been cut out into the shape of a heart shape.
"Do you want my strawberry?" He asks me. Il-jun doesn't like strawberries but I love them. So Il-jun always gives me his strawberries.
"Yes please!" I say as he scoops it off the cake carefully and dispenses it onto my plate.
"Bo ra," He asks me.
"Yes?" I ask him, happily eating the strawberry.
"Are we best friends?" Il-jun asks me.
I stare at him.
"Il-jun, I thought you're supposed to be a genius." I say.
"Huh?" He asks in a confused voice.
"OF COURSE WE ARE BEST FRIENDS!" I exclaim so loudly until my omma jumps in shock from the sudden increase in volume.
"Really?" Il-jun asks and beams at me.
"Of course, pabo!" I laugh. "You see, we always play claw machine together. I always borrow your eraser. And I'll always eat with you everyday." I say."Really?" Il-jun asks again.
"Aish, you really are a pabo." I sigh.
"Here, here, take my cake. I'm not really hungry." Il-jun says happily as he gives me his share of the cake.
